MARY ANN BARGIEL BRUMLEY, 87, loving mother and friend passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017. Mary was born on August 14, 1929 in North Little Rock to Ben and Mary Bargiel. In 1964, she married Thomas Brumley and in July 1965, her only child, Joel was born. She worked for Timex and retired from the Veterans Administra­tion. Mary has been a member of St. Anne Catholic Church for over 50 years.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings. She is survived by her son, Joel Brumley; grandsons, Jhon and Shane, five great-grandchild­ren and several nieces and nephews.

Joel would like to thank his mother’s guardian angels, Joann Lacy, Patricia McKinley and niece, Connie Harkins. A Mass, celebrated by Fr. ––––– ––––– CHARLES E. CAMPBELL OF Little Rock passed away on January 16, 2017. He was 82 years old. He was born on November 1, 1934, in Bethune, South Carolina, to parents, Eddie Dubose and Mamie Rebecca Stewart Campbell.

Char les moved with his family to Georgetown, South Carolina, in 1943. He graduated from Winyah High School in Georgetown in 1953, where he played and lettered in football, basketball and baseball. After graduation, Charles attended Newberry College in South Carolina on a baseball scholarshi­p. He also played minor league baseball in the Palmetto League in South Carolina.

In 1955, Charles began his career with Internatio­nal Paper Company where he worked for 40 years before retiring in 1995. While working for Internatio­nal Paper, Charles also lived in North Carolina, Greenwood, South Carolina, Texarkana, Texas, Jay, Maine, Bastrop, Louisiana, Pine Bluff, Ark., and Georgetown, South Carolina.

In 1958, Charles married Gloria Howard Campbell. Charles and Gloria were married 52 years before her untimely passing on Mother’s Day, 2010. Charles is survived by their two sons, Charles H. Campbell of Texarkana, Texas, and Howard Gregory Campbell of Little Rock, Ark.; five grandchild­ren, Chad, Courtney, Erin, Leah and Brittany; two great grandchild­ren; his sister, Betty Wiggins of Andrews, South Carolina, and good friend, Barbara Breen of Little Rock. Charles was also preceded in death by his brother, Jennings Campbell and his sister, Carolyn Cottingham, both of Georgetown, South Carolina.

As a young father, Charles coached Dixie Youth baseball for many years. Charles enjoyed playing golf and watching his grandchild­ren play soccer. During his career, he was a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, National Red Cross, past president of Internatio­nal Paper Company’s Quarter Century Society and Who’s Who in South Carolina. Charles was also a member of First Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas and past member of First Baptist Church in Georgetown, South Carolina.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle. ––––– ––––– JAMES EDWARD DOCKERY died January 17, 2017 in Little Rock, Ark., at the age of 71. He was born in Sunset, Ark., the youngest of four. His parents, James Loyd Dockery and Ola Jones Dockery, preceded him in death.

Jim started first grade at the age of 5 in a one room school, then moved to Springdale, Ark., where he attended Springdale High School and started preaching at Johnson Church of Christ at age 16.

Jim attend Harding College where he majored in Speech and Theology. He then continued his education at the University of Arkansas for his Master’s Degree. Jim furthered his graduate studies at Louisiana State University, then taught speech and coached debate at Henderson State University before entering the world of business He opened Adecco Employment Services and served the community in job placements for over 20 years.

Jim never stopped serving the Lord. He attended Pleasant Valley Church of Christ where he taught adult Bible classes for over 30 years, served as deacon, and then as an elder, until his death.

Jim leaves behind his wife of 48 years, Lois Bock Dockery; three children, Angela (Shawn) Abernathy of Millington, Tenn., Kristina (Alan) Gable of Maumelle, Ark., and Barry Dockery of Summit, Miss.; three grandchild­ren, Avery, Emersyn and Mallory Gable; three sisters, Georgia Reading of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Dixie Higgs of Fayettevil­le, Ark., and Donna Baker of Springdale, Ark.

––––– ––––– WILLIAM HOWARD LOGAN, age 99, of North Little Rock, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017. He was born on August 8, 1917 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late William and Maudie Hollman Logan. He was a retired machinist for the Missouri Pacific Railroad.

Howard was a man of God who loved reading and studying the Bible. He was a longtime member of First Assembly of God in North Little Rock. Howard was an active man all of his life who loved to travel and enjoyed bowling. He was a fantastic gardener who was able to create great things in a small space. Howard was most importantl­y a wonderful father who loved his children greatly. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Cheshier Logan; two sisters, Irene and Mildred; and his first wife, Lucy Frances Huff Logan

He is survived by two sons, Ronald Cheshier (Liz), of White Hall and Kenneth Cheshier (Mevelyn), of Redfield; two daughters, Wanda Knudson (Frank), of Redfield and Carolyn Banks (Ted), of North Little Rock; and numerous grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, January 20 at First Assembly of God in North Little Rock with burial to follow at Edgewood Memorial Park. ––––– ––––– IRVING JUDSON “JUD” PRINDLE, age 100, of North Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on January 17, 2017. He was born to the late, George D. and Olive L. Bartlett Prindle in Portervill­e, Texas on December 15, 1916.

Jud lived most of his life in California and was very active in the Gardenia Assembly of God Church, where he helped build a church and a church school and also held a position on the church building board. He took a job working for Chevron while living in California and a few years later was drafted into the United States Navy during WWII. After Jud’s honorable discharge he continued his career with Chevron and retired in 1978 having worked 35 years with the company. Jud met his wife of 59 years, Ruth, while she was vacationin­g and visiting family in California.

He is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters. Jud is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Ruth Janette Prindle; his son, David (Rebecca) Prindle, of North Little Rock; two daughters, LaMerle Dillinger of Flippin, Ark. and Monica Williams of Flippin, Ark.; along with nine grandchild­ren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Friday, January 20 at First Assembly of God in North Little Rock. Interment will be at Arkansas State Veterans’ Cemetery at 11 a.m., on Thursday, January 26. ––––– ––––– JANE AUDREY VANCE RAINEY passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the age of 70. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald “Don” Jake Rainey of Maumelle, Ark.; her brother, Jim Vance, and parents, Ross Jennings Vance and Audrey Sarah Pierce Vance, of Dardanelle, Ark. She will be greeted in heaven by her beloved Yorkie, Cocoa, who recently passed away.

Jane is survived by two daughters: Stephanie Rainey Pritt, wife of Scott Pritt, of La Vernia, Texas and Debbie Rainey Knight of Maumelle. She was affectiona­tely called “Nana” by friends, family and her three surviving grandchild­ren: Carter Pritt of Dallas, Texas; Mallory Pritt of San Marcos, Texas; Coleman Knight of Maumelle and her brother David Frank Vance of Russellvil­le. In addition, she is survived by her extended family: Shane, Amy and Claire Knight of Maumelle.

Jane graduated from Dardanelle High School in 1964 and shortly thereafter married Don Rainey of Altheimer, Ark., on August 21, 1965. She attended Arkansas Teachers College, now UCA, in Conway, Ark. Jane and Don spent the majority of their married life in Pine Bluff, AR before moving to Maumelle to spend more time with their extended family.

Jane enjoyed her swimming pool for many years and managed to never get her head wet because of her fear of swimming. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching all sports on TV, but her greatest enjoyment was watching golf. The Masters was by far her favorite sporting event.

Her days were filled spending time with her family and her beloved pets: Rainey (Snorkie) and Piper (Cat). And, most days you could find her coloring, a recently developed passion of hers.

Debbie Knight and Stephanie Pritt will host an event in memory of their mother on Thursday, January 19 from 5 till 7 p.m. for family and friends at the home of Debbie Knight.

––––– ––––– VELMA LOUISE STACY, age 79, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2017. Born to the late Charlie and Flora Ballard, Velma resided in Central Arkansas where she raised her children. She was renowned as a loving mother, faithful friend, and gardener.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Stacy, her son Wayne Oliver Sr., daughter, Wanda Stacy, son, Jackie Stacy, grandson, Lance Williams, and great-grandson, Tommy Hindmon. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Jerry Stacy, son, Wayne Oliver Jr. (Joey), son, Roger Stacy, daughter, Vicki Honeycutt (Jay), sisters, Wanda Eaglehoff and Alta Caven, daughter-in-law, Angela Stacy, seven grandchild­ren, 13 great-grandchild­ren, one greatgreat-grandchild, a host of nieces and nephews, and anyone fortunate enough to call her friend.

––––– ––––– WILLIAM CHARLES WALLER, (Bill), born 7/31/1934, passed away peacefully in his sleep while visiting his daughter and her family in Plano, Texas, on 12/22/2016. Bill graduated from Arkansas Tech with a BA in Business in 1954. He served two years of active duty in the Army followed by seven years in the Army reserves in the finance corps. Bill retired from Stone Container Company at the age of 57.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Peggy Cragar Waller of Little Rock, daughter Kimberly Waller Lane and husband Rodney Smith of Plano, Texas, two grandsons, Corey Lane of Lewisville, Texas, and Joshua Lane of Key West, Florida, his precious pets, Bitsy Boo and Kitty Dumpling, and extended family.

She went to high school at McClellan High School and graduated in 1984. Suzanne worked for Dollar General in Little Rock. She enjoyed her pets, flea markets, and spending time with her friends and family.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her father, Alvin L. Todd Jr. She is survived by her mother, Martha A. (Sontag) Todd of Mabelvale; daughter, Amber M. Maison of Benton; brother, Scott Todd and wife, Karla, and nephew Logan Todd of Bryant, and her aunt, Glenda Tefteller of Brinkley.
