Russellville festival to offer arts, crafts, music and dance
RUSSELLVILLE — The Russellville Parks and Recreation Department and the River Valley Arts Center will present pARTy in the Park, a festival of arts, crafts, music and dance entertainment, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 22 at the Russellville City Park, the Hughes Community Center, 1000 E. Parkway Drive, and the Arts Center, 1001 E. B St.
With a combination of visual and performing arts, pARTy in the Park will create a day full of fun, entertainment and visual excitement for the whole family. Two outdoor stages will have nonstop musical entertainment. Alternative bands wanting to play should contact the Arts Center. Dance performers and music will also be onstage in the Hughes Center throughout the day.
There will be a dog contest in search of “Sandy.” For more information, call the Arts Center.
The Russellville City Park will be filled with games and crafts, and admission is free. The day will include artists, bingo, live music and dance entertainment, vendors, food, art demonstrations, safety-information booths, adopt a pet and more.
To keep the festival free of charge for admission and all events, except items purchased from vendors, the pARTy in the Park Committee is seeking sponsors. A $250 sponsorship includes an individual yard-type sign at the festival and a free booth space. Historically, pARTy in the Park draws about 5,000 people.
Vendors will sell a wide variety of food, snacks and craft items. Booth spaces are $30 per 10-by-10-foot space. To reserve a space, call (479) 968-2452, and ask for Sarah.
