Family-owned business treats customers like kin

After three generations of local ownership, Roberson Tire Service Inc. still maintains the values it was founded on more than 50 years ago, which is providing outstanding customer service and fair prices, president and owner Mark Roberson said.

“We treat our customers like they are family,” he said. “We want them to be safe and secure with their choices.”

The business opened in the 1950s, and it became incorporated in 1974. The friendly, knowledgeable staff members can assist customers with a wide range of automotive services, including tire services, brake services, alignments, installation of front-end parts and more.

“Our associates have over 150 years of experience and stay up to date on the latest trends for your vehicle,” Roberson said.

The company carries most product lines, including Bridgestone, Cooper Tire, Goodyear, Firestone and other brands. If staff members need to order a part that is not in stock, it usually arrives within a couple of days.

“We pride ourselves on helping people and providing great customer service. We are not a big business and do not overcharge people,” he said. “We are fair and put the customer first.”

Working with people and interacting with the public is his favorite part of the job, Roberson added. “It is a family business, and I enjoy carrying on the legacy that my grandfather started,” he said. “We have a great community, and it is great to still be a part of the hometown business.”
