It is expected to shoot the well tomorrow, and it is confidently believed that a gusher or a well of more than average production will result. The baling of water from the hole was finished today, and more than 50 gallons of oil of good quality was brought up. Machinery has been ordered, and it is expected to be in operation within a few days.

David Huckabee, the son of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, was arrested just after daybreak Thursday at the Little Rock airport after security officials discovered a handgun in his luggage. By noon, the 26-year-old Huckabee had pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor weapons charge and was sentenced to a year on probation, was ordered to pay $855 in fines and court costs and to perform 10 days of community service. The elder Huckabee, a Republican presidential candidate, later called his youngest son “irresponsible” for a “foolish act.” David Huckabee, who was licensed to carry a concealed weapon, said when he was arrested at 6 a.m. Thursday at Little Rock National Airport, Adams Field, that he had forgotten about the .40-caliber Glock.
