ANN ELLEN GUNTI NICHOLAS JAMES COPAS
Ann Ellen Gunti and Nicholas James Copas were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 22, in the Capital Hotel Ballroom with Shayla Copas, stepmother of the bridegroom, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Marie Hurst Gunti of Little Rock and the late David Kearney Gunti of Pine Bluff. She is the granddaughter of the late Mayriann and Joseph Hurst of Little Rock and the late Maddie Maude and Frederick Gunti of Pine Bluff.
Parents of the bridegroom are Kathryn Keltner Copas of Cabot and Shayla and John Scott Copas of Little Rock. He is the grandson of the late Agnes and Robert Keltner of North Little Rock and the late Sara and John Copas of Little Rock.
A wall of cream roses and hydrangeas set in boxwood provided a backdrop for the ceremony. Tall arrangements of cream and blush wedding flowers were on each side of the aisle and the stage. Music was by The Little Rock String Quartet.
Given in marriage by her mother, the bride wore an ivory crepe sheath with a plunging neckline and a chapel train. Her cathedral-length veil was
edged with ribbon. She carried a gathered clutch of white roses, peonies, lisianthus and ranunculus.
Matron of honor was Susan Gunti McGeorge of Little Rock, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Anna Elizabeth Jeter and Angela Elizabeth Strauss, both of Little Rock. They wore midnight-colored sheaths and carried bouquets of cream and blush roses.
Flower girl and ring bearer were Catherine Copas of North Little Rock, niece of the bridegroom, and Jackson Pew of Tulsa, nephew of the bridegroom.
Christopher Warren Pritchard of Little Rock served as best man. Groomsmen were the father of the bridegroom and John Michael Copas of North Little Rock, brother of the bridegroom. Guests were seated by Brian McGeorge, brother-in-law of the bride, and Miles McGeorge, Morgan McGeorge, and Huntley McGeorge, nephews of the bride, all of Little Rock.
A reception, also at the Capital Hotel, was held after the ceremony. Tables surrounding the mezzanine railings were decorated with cream and spring green wedding flowers. A floral wall was behind the band with arrangements of wedding flowers on each side of the stage. Small vases of hydrangeas and roses decorated mirrored coffee tables. Buffets held gold candelabra. Music was by The Rodney Block Collective.
The bride has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. She is a controller at Tipton Hurst Inc.
The bridegroom is president of industrial services at Baldwin Shell Construction Co.
The couple will make their home in Little Rock after a wedding trip to Italy’s Amalfi Coast and Rome.
