SATURDAY Dare to Be Aware

CONWAY — Dare to Be Aware, a free injury-prevention event, will be hosted by the Conway Regional Health System from 10 a.m. to noon in the parking area across from the Conway Regional Emergency Department, 2302 College Ave. The event will include the Conway Fire Department smoke house and tours of a fire engine; car-seat checks by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences; Conway Regional Emergency Services trauma awareness; MEMS (Metropolit­an Emergency Medical Services) ambulance tours; the Conway Police Department’s alcohol-awareness simulation­s; the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office’s injury-prevention awareness; and appearance­s by superheroe­s, such as social media’s Little Rock Batman. There will also be prize giveaways for families.

SUNDAY St. Boniface Catholic Church Bazaar

NEW DIXIE — The annual St. Boniface Catholic Church Bazaar will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church, 70 St. Boniface Drive, 5 miles west of the Toad Suck community. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a choice of barbecue beef or chicken. The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children ages 6-12. Children younger than 6 may eat free. Activities will include games, a ham-and-bacon stand, a country store, refreshmen­ts, a silent auction, a bounce house and a sale of garden plants. Raffle tickets are six for $5. Wesley UMC 70th Anniversar­y

CONWAY — Wesley United Methodist Church, 2310 E. Oak St., across from Caldwell Country Store, will celebrate its 70th anniversar­y. The event will begin with a gathering time and light refreshmen­ts at 9 a.m., followed by a worship service at 10 a.m. The Rev. Steve Johnson, a former pastor of the church, will deliver the message. Following the service, a barbecue dinner will take place, as well as sharing stories and memories of the church. Former pastors of the church and their spouses have been invited, as well as former members of Wesley, and all who have an interest in the church are welcome to attend. MONDAY Audubon Society Meeting

Community Band Spring Rehearsals

RUSSELLVIL­LE — The West Central River Valley Community Band is accepting new and returning musicians for rehearsals for the band’s spring 2017 performanc­e. Yoga Class at the Library

CONWAY — Danny Mize, registered yoga instructor, teaches a yoga class at 6 p.m. Thursdays at the Faulkner County Library. Mize’s class focuses on feeling good in one’s body and letting go of life’s stress while listening to music. Yoga practition­ers of all skill levels, especially beginners, are welcome in the class. Stroke Support Group

CONWAY — The Conway Regional Rehabilita­tion Hospital Stroke Support Group meets at 6 p.m. the third Thursday, every other month, in the Therapy Gym. Today, Julie Shock, a physical therapist and supervisor of Conway Regional Therapy ServicesSa­lem, will discuss therapy and exercises for treatment of stroke. Reunion ’Round the Rails 2017

RUSSELLVIL­LE — Friends of the Depot will present a free 100th-anniversar­y celebratio­n of the 1917 Russellvil­le depot on May 27. M.J. Hickey Pool Opening

RUSSELLVIL­LE — The M.J. Hickey Pool will open May 27. Pool hours are 12:30-6:30 p.m. every day. Daily admission is $4 for adults 18 and older, and $3 for children 17 and younger. Individual season passes, for $75, are available at the Hughes Community Center, 1000 E. Parkway Drive.

Sacred Heart School Bazaar

MORRILTON — The Sacred Heart School Bazaar will take place June 2 and 3 at the school, 106 N. St Joseph St. Activities will include a midway featuring kiddie-land games, bingo, a ham-and-bacon stand, a silent/online auction, a Baggo tournament and more.
