BERNICE ANDERSON-PARHAM, 83 died peacefully Tuesday, May 23, 2017 surrounded by loved ones in Little Rock, Ark. Bernice was born March 11, 1934 in Carlisle, Ark., to Theodore and Bertha Anderson. She was predecease­d by the love of her life, James Parham; her parents; daughter, Constance Clark; three brothers; and one sister.

Bernice was a Jehovah’s Witness and an avid lover of all things nature and music. You could often find her tending to her garden, on the lake with her cane pole enticing as many fish as she could, or dancing a jig regardless of the music genre. Knowledgea­ble in many subjects, if you wanted a great debate, just stop by her long-time residence in Hot Springs, Ark., and be ready to be schooled.

Bernice is survived by two sons, Richard and James Parham of Little Rock, Ark; three daughters, Pamela Harshaw of Grand Prairie, Texas, Alice Lemons of Maumelle, Ark., and Bertha Stewart of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by many loving grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren.

Bernice was loved by many and will be missed by even more. The legacy of her life will live on for generation­s to come.

–––––❖––––– MARGARET I. SANDERS, age 75, of North Little Rock, Ark., passed away on June 2, 2017. She was born on April 30, 1942 in Mahonoy, Pa., to James and Margaret Haughney.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Sanders; her partner-in-crime, Marcia Peterson; grandson, Jacob Wood; her parents; one sister; and one brother.

She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Wood (Derrick); her son, Gus Sanders (Kellie); daughters, Marcia Armstead and Beth Windom (James); sons, Scott Peterson and Greg Peterson (Carla); brother, James Haughney (Kathleen); sister, Mary Rutkowski (Bernie); grandsons, Jared Wood and Caleb Sanders; and granddaugh­ter, Nikki Sanders.

DARRELL WADE YOUNG, 73, of North Little Rock, Ark., passed from this life on Thursday, June 1 from natural causes.

Born Aug. 20, 1943 to Elva Fay Harvey YoungIvy and Austin Wade Young he was one of 10 children. As a student during the 1957 integratio­n crisis of Little Rock Central High School, he was deeply impacted by personally witnessed events resulting in a strong respect for all humanity which endures through his children. Early work life led him to the factories of Michigan until love of home brought him back to his father’s appliance repair business. Motivated by love of family and work ethic, his career progressed to propriety of Target Torque Converters, Inc. in North Little Rock. His balance of work and fun is evidenced by many family memories of quick corny jokes, Summer camping and vacation trips across the country as well as his love of ATV adventures with his brother.

Darrell was preceded in death

by sisters Elva Gayle, Delores Pinkerton, Patsy Spikes, brother Larry Young.

He is survived by three children, Kelly Michelle Driggers, Darren Wade Young and Tony Jay Young; mother of the children and former wife, Sandra Wilcox Young Criswell; grandchild­ren, Cody Driggers, Justin Driggers, Alexa Driggers, Savanna Young, Calum Young, Chance Young, Sean Young, Briley Young, Jade Larsen, Jacob Wilson and Caleb Wilson; sisters, Joyce Campbell, Jane Sanders, Carol Zorn, Teresa Torres; and brother, Terry Young.

Memorial Service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark., 72116. (501) 791-7400. Visitation one hour prior to service. Memorial to be Officiated by nephew, Rev. Bryan Torres.

Because of his faith in Jesus Christ, he is now at home with our Creator.
