The Arkansas Court of Appeals on Wednesday upheld the conviction of a Johnson County man who contributed to his daughter’s death in a house fire by chaining her to her bed. Judges upheld the negligent homicide and second-degree false imprisonment convictions of Lloyd Lee Holt, who conspired with his wife to chain Molly Holt, their 10-year-old daughter, to her bed at their home north of Clarksville. Molly Holt died in 2003 in a house fire. Authorities believe the fire started in the girl’s bedroom, where her remains were found. A metal chain with two padlocks was looped around her ankle and the bed frame.
