MONDAY Peas Take One

CONWAY — The Faulkner County Library and the Faulkner County Urban Farm Project will start the Peas Take One Veggie Cart program Monday. The cart will be in the front lobby of the library, 1900 Tyler St., and will have a wide variety of vegetables and fruits available for the public to take home. Nutritiona­l fact cards will accompany the produce, as well as recipe cards. The cart will be available each Monday throughout the summer.

Conway AARP Meeting

CONWAY — The Conway AARP Chapter will have its potluck and bingo meeting in the Fellowship Hall of First United Methodist Church, 1610 Prince St. All those who are 50 or older are invited to attend. Enter on the north side of the church next to the parking area. The meeting will begin at 11:10 a.m. with a potluck, followed by bingo from 12:101 p.m. AARP will provide fried and baked chicken and iced tea. Bring a food dish to share, a can of food for the food pantry and a gag prize for playing bingo. Nonmembers are welcome to attend. To become a member, the cost is $5 per year. MONDAY AND TUESDAY Children’s Musical Theater Auditions

RUSSELLVIL­LE — The Arkansas Center for Music Education, 502 Tyler Road, will conduct auditions for the Children’s Musical Theater program’s summer musical, The Emperor’s New

Clothes, at 4 p.m. Monday and at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The program is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 15. All auditions and rehearsals will be at the center. Rehearsals will begin from 5-7 p.m. this Thursday and continue each Tuesday and Thursday until the performanc­es, set for be July 28 and 29. TUESDAY Creature Feature

CLINTON — The Little Red River Audubon Society will present its free annual Creature Feature with the Little Rock Zoo at 6 p.m. at the Petit Jean Electric Building, 270 Quality Drive. WEDNESDAY Author Presentati­on

CONWAY — Kimberly Willis Holt will speak about her life as an author with a program titled A Writer Cares at 4 p.m. at the Faulkner County Library. She will speak about her writing process and her journey to publicatio­n and, if time permits, will conduct a writing exercise. Holt is a writer of children’s literature, including When Zachary Beaver Came to Town.

THURSDAY QuickBooks Workshops

RUSSELLVIL­LE — The Arkansas Tech Small Business and Technology Developmen­t Center will present two hands-on workshops for QuickBooks Pro, Premier and Enterprise software users at Arkansas Tech. The 8:30 a.m.-to-noon session, QuickBooks for Beginners, is designed for business owners and their employees with little or no experience using QuickBooks desktop software. The 1-4:30 p.m. session, QuickBooks Day-to-Day Basics, includes working with invoices, payments, bills, inventory and reports. Computers are provided for use during the

SATURDAY Centervill­e School Reunion

CENTERVILL­E — The Centervill­e School Reunion will take place at Centervill­e United Methodist Church, 76 Blythe Road, 2 miles east of Woolly Hollow State Park in Faulkner County next to the old school grounds. ONGOING Community Band Call for Players

RUSSELLVIL­LE — The West Central River Valley Community Band is accepting new and returning players to perform at the Russellvil­le July 4 fireworks celebratio­n at Old Post Park. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. and last until the fireworks begin. The band will have two more rehearsals to prepare for the concert at 7 p.m. Thursday and June 29 at the Arkansas Center for Music Education, 502 Tyler Road. CONWAY — The Faulkner County Library announces its annual Summer Concert Series, which takes place indoors to beat the heat. All are invited for summer snacks and music from local musicians. Yoga Class at the Library

CONWAY — Danny Mize, registered yoga instructor, teaches a yoga class at 6 p.m. Thursdays at the Faulkner County Library. Mize’s class focuses on feeling good in one’s body and letting go of life’s stress while listening to music. Yoga practition­ers of all skill levels, especially beginners, are welcome in the class. Faulkner County Coin Club Meetings

CONWAY — The Faulkner County Coin Club meets the second Tuesday of each month at the Ola and John Hawks Senior Wellness and Activity Center, 705 E. Siebenmorg­en Road. The
