Port authority board re-elects 3 officers
Dexter Doyne, owner of Doyne Construction Co., was elected Wednesday to a second one-year term as chairman of the Little Rock Port Authority board of directors.
Melissa Hendricks was re-elected as vice chairman and Frank Scott Jr. was reelected as treasurer.
Doyne, 63, a native of College Station, was appointed to the board in 2010. He founded his construction company in College Station in 1983. He also is general manager of the Doyne Family Real Estate Partnership.
The Port of Little Rock, established in 1959, is on the 448-mile McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, which runs from the Mississippi River to 15 miles east of Tulsa. The port features a 2,640-acre industrial park, two fullservice river terminals, its own switching railroad and a slack water harbor.
