Port authority board re-elects 3 officers

Dexter Doyne, owner of Doyne Constructi­on Co., was elected Wednesday to a second one-year term as chairman of the Little Rock Port Authority board of directors.

Melissa Hendricks was re-elected as vice chairman and Frank Scott Jr. was reelected as treasurer.

Doyne, 63, a native of College Station, was appointed to the board in 2010. He founded his constructi­on company in College Station in 1983. He also is general manager of the Doyne Family Real Estate Partnershi­p.

The Port of Little Rock, establishe­d in 1959, is on the 448-mile McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, which runs from the Mississipp­i River to 15 miles east of Tulsa. The port features a 2,640-acre industrial park, two fullservic­e river terminals, its own switching railroad and a slack water harbor.
