Arkansas postcard past

Ronald Hepler of New York got this card from his mother. Before the coming of Interstate 55 the traffic was heavy up Main Street on the path of U.S. 61. Motorists could have stopped to eat at Cramer’s Cafe or shopped at Reidy’s Drugs in an era before franchised, bland businesses took away much of the charm of small towns.
