MEAGAN UHLIG ANDREW ZIMMERMAN
Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock was the setting at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 24, for the marriage of Meagan Uhlig and Andrew Zimmerman. Monsignor Francis I. Malone officiated.
Kelly and Charles Uhlig Jr. of Little Rock are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Kathy Neal and George Kvaternik, both of Little Rock, and Carol and Charles Uhlig of St. Louis.
Parents of the bridegroom are Kimberly and Anthony Zimmerman of Bryant. He is the grandson of Donnie Curtis of Little Rock, the late Barbara Curtis and Frank and the late Rosemary Zimmerman of Shannon Hills.
The altar area held two cathedral-style arrangements of delphinium, white and blush larkspur, white hydrangeas, blush cabbage roses, lambs ear and white peonies. Music was by vocalists Suzanne Banister and Matt Newman accompanied by pianist Scott Whitfield.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a ballgown of beaded lace and tulle. The bodice, beaded with seed pearls, crystals and silver stones, had a plunging neckline and cap sleeves. The tulle skirt extended to a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of blush cabbage roses, peonies, hydrangeas and lambs ear.
Madison Uhlig of Little Rock served as her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Alyssa Zimmerman of Little Rock, sister of the bridegroom; Camren Kvaternik of Cabot, cousin of the bride; and Dylan Gibson of Conway. They wore floor-length gowns of blushpink chiffon and carried smaller versions of the bridal bouquet.
Best man was Alan Doerpinghaus of North Little Rock. Groomsmen were Adam Zimmerman of North Little Rock, cousin of the bridegroom; Will Hairston of Little Rock; and Daniel Creel of Hensley. Ushers were Chris Lakatos of Farmer’s Branch, Texas, and Travis Willems of Cammack Village.
A reception at Pleasant Valley Country Club was held after the ceremony. The ballroom guest tables held an assortment of lanterns on wood disks and arrangements of roses, lambs ear, hydrangeas, peonies and eucalyptus in shades of blush and sage green.
The bride has a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. She is a third-grade teacher at Christ the King Catholic School.
The bridegroom is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He is a fleet manager at Maverick Transportation of North Little Rock.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will live in Little Rock.
