City of Little Rock

-

Looking for adventure? As Arkansas’ capital city, Little Rock is celebrated for its charming hospitality, genuine people and new Southern style. Whether you’re looking for a float in one of the city’s many canoe and kayak areas; taking a run, walk, or bike or horseback ride on the Arkansas River Trail; enjoying a guided Segway tour through downtown or a guided bike tour through the city’s historic neighborhoods; climbing beautiful Pinnacle Mountain; or spending a day with the kids at Heifer’s Urban Farm at Heifer Village, Little Rock has plenty of great urban outdoor adventures. It is even conducting a social-media contest throughout the summer in which the city will highlight some of the above adventures that visitors can answer a question about and be registered to win a custom Little Rock urban outdoor adventure for two. Just visit the city of Little Rock’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/ExperienceLR, or Instagram page, www.instagram.com/littlerock

cvb, and look for that month’s adventure. The city has two adventures that will be promoted in July and August — and one is sure to appeal to your inner explorer.

After exploring Little Rock’s great outdoors, take advantage of some of the city’s other offerings, such as the River Market entertainment district — home to numerous attractions, restaurants, shops and live-music venues. Enjoy a meal at one of Little Rock’s many local restaurants. Visitors can also take advantage of the Locally Labeled Passport, which highlights the city’s burgeoning adult-beverage scene, with its numerous craft breweries, wineries and an award-winning distillery.

With so much to see and do, it’s easy to understand why “Getaways Are Better With a Southern Accent” — and why so many visitors return to Little Rock again and again.
