Pet of the week

-

Cora is the pet of the week. This Labrador mix is an adorable, playful 6-month-old puppy that seems to have never met a stranger. She is already working on her manners when meeting new friends by learning how to sit politely. Cora weighs about 20 pounds now and will be a large dog when she reaches maturity. She is friendly with other dogs and loves children. She will do best in a home with another dog that likes to play and a yard where she can run. She would also do well with a pet parent who is active. Cora is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150.

Canine Close-Up

Julie, a Labrador/shepherd mix, was found on the Fourth of July watching fireworks all alone by the river. Julie is a sweet and playful girl. She can be a little shy at first, but after a treat she is your new best friend. Julie is great with people and other dogs. She is about 3 months old and weighs 20 pounds. Julie is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $150.

Buddy, a Catahoula/Labrador mix, was surrendered to the North Little Rock Animal Shelter when his former owner was no longer able to care for him. Buddy is a happy-golucky, friendly guy and gets along great with people and other dogs. Buddy is in the Paws in Prison program where he receives obedience training and is expected to graduate Sept. 7. The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards, and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. For that reason, Buddy will do best in homes where he is primarily an inside dog and can spend lots of time with his family. Buddy’s adoptive family will receive a journal that documents his daily training progress and his interactions with his trainers. Buddy is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250.

Featured Felines

Gabby, a domestic short-haired cat, is such a beauty that she could be a feline model, but she is a humble and laid-back cat. Gabby wants nothing more than a good scratch behind the ears and a lap to take a nap in. She enjoys other cats and is cautious but friendly with dogs. Gabby is up to date on vaccinations, litterbox trained, spayed and FIV negative. She is 2 years old and weighs about 19 pounds. Her adoption fee is $100.

Cora and friends can be adopted through CARE for Animals.
