Hospital provides top-notch care to the region

As one of the leading health care providers in an eight-county area, Unity Health strives to improve the quality of health and well-being for the communitie­s the hospital serves.

With more than 2,000 associates among all its facilities, Unity Health is the largest employer in an eight-county area. The area includes Cleburne, Independen­ce, Jackson, Lonoke, Prairie, Van Buren, White and Woodruff counties. The Searcy facility has a combined total of 438 licensed beds and a medical staff of more than 150 physicians who specialize in various areas of health care.

In addition to the White County Medical Center and Specialty Care campuses in Searcy, Unity Health has a hospital campus in Newport and clinics in Beebe, Bradford, Clinton and Heber Springs. Searcy locations include multiple physician clinics, urgent-care clinics, a behavioral-health clinic, an orthopaedi­c and spine center, a cancer center, and a cardiology clinic.

GOOD TO KNOW: Unity Health offers a wide range of health care services to the region, including 24-hour emergency care. As a Level III Trauma Center and a member of the statewide trauma system, Unity Health is also a member of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences-based AR SAVES (Stroke Assistance Through Virtual Emergency Support) program, providing immediate care for stroke victims.

Unity Health patient services include an accredited Sleep Center, a Top 500 Home Health Agency, inpatient and outpatient rehabilita­tive services, critical-care services, behavioral-health programs for all ages, a diabetes-education program certified by the American Diabetes Associatio­n, inpatient hospice, a sports-medicine program and a wound-care center. Unity Health houses the Advanced Care Hospital of White County, one of the few long-term acute-care hospitals in north-central Arkansas.

Unity Health is proud to be a teaching hospital with graduate medical education programs in family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine and psychiatry. Serving as the graduate phase of medical training, each program offers three years of intensive, hands-on osteopathi­c medicine training within both hospital and clinic environmen­ts.

Unity Health is honored to be the first health system in Arkansas to become a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network. By connecting to more than 4,200 physicians at the Mayo Clinic, Unity Health provides its patients with the highest level of medical care. This is all provided at no additional cost to patients.
