YARDLEY, Pa. — Sandra McKay Bussey, born Feb. 23, 1947 in Little Rock, Ark., passed away on July 24, 2017 at her home in Yardley, Pa. Sandra was a retired educator and administra­tor with the New Jersey State Board of Education and is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. She is survived by her son, Jacque Andre’ Bussey, grandson Jacque Ahmad Bussey, uncle Harold B. Yancy and brother Gregory Alford. Sandra was preceded in death by her mother Rita J. Yancy, adoptive parents Sims B. McKay and Mary Jane McKay, and Uncle Aubrey Yancy. Funeral services will be held at Premier Funeral home, 1518 Battery St. Little Rock, Ark., on Tuesday Aug. 1 at 12:30 p.m. “Only Heaven Can Serve You Better”.

–––––❖––––– TERRELL, Texas — Oscar Charles Alsobrook age 87 of Terrell, Texas, died Friday July 28, 2017 in Mesquite, Texas. He was born Nov. 23, 1929 in Slocum, Texas, the son of Edwin and Ora Prater Alsobrook. He was a former president of the Farmers Branch, Texas Lions Club and a Baptist. Charles was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors, and loved cooking fried fish for all his family and friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Charla Waldon. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Verna Kirksey Alsobrook; one son Bob Britt; one sister Billie Stanford (James); three grandsons, Alex and Robert Britt Jr. and Jason Waldon, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday Aug. 1, 2017 at the Oak Grove Church near Alpine, Ark., with bro. Greg Kirksey officiatin­g. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Sign the online guest book at www.ruggleswil­cox.com.
