––––– – –––– CABOT — Mark Stephen Otto, 46, of Cabot passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 6, 2017, surrounded by his family, fiancée and many dear friends. He lived life to the fullest and was bursting with happiness anticipating exciting new plans for the near future with his fiancée and family.

Mark loved sports, favoring the Cowboys, Cubs, Dodgers and, of course, the Razorbacks. He like to bet on ballgames and even Yahtzee games; a loss made him grumpy, a win elated. However, the cards were stacked against him in the game life dealt to him, though he gave it all he had and fought long and hard against his illnesses, keeping the pain and suffering mostly to himself.

He had two Labs, Katie and Nikki, that kept him company many years and they worshiped him. In his past he golfed a lot and two dear friends took him to the course on what would be his last outing. He enjoyed the yearly fishing trips on the Little Red, going to the Derby, a Vegas trip to see Jermain Taylor, all with lifelong friends. He and his loving and caring fiancée, Christine, were able to enjoy dining out before his health failed. He liked hosting a Shrimp Boil and was planning a “feast” when he got back home.

Mark was so thankful to manage to walk the Senior Walk with Jacob and to attend his graduation. He was proud that Jacob was starting college. Mark was a dear son and father, a loving fiance’e and a great friend to many. Some said he was their best friend. We shall miss you, Dear One.

A gathering in Mark’s memory will be held Friday, August 11th from 6- 8 p. m. at Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, NLR. Online Guestbook www.griffinleggettresthills.com.
