JAKE WOODY JACKSON SR. was born in England, Arkansas on June 9, 1949 to Jake Jackson and Leatrice Noel Jackson who preceded him in death. –––––❖––––– RAYMOND EUGENE JACKSON, age 72, of Jacksonvil­le, Arkansas passed away on September 11, 2017 in North Little Rock after battling a short illness. He was born on November 30, 1944 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Floyd Robert Eugene and Dorothy Lee Jackson.

Ray was a

1962 graduate of North Little Rock High School and in 1964 he graduated with an Associate’s Degree from William’s Baptist College (formerly known as Southern Baptist College.)

Ray will be missed by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Judy Ann Jackson of Jacksonvil­le, Arkansas; his daughter, Kimberly Chidester of Cabot, Arkansas; his grandchild­ren, Kyle Jackson and Natalie Grace Chidester both of Cabot, Arkansas. He will be greatly missed by his brother, Robert Jackson and nephew, Keith Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd Robert Eugene Jackson and Dorothy Lee Smith Jackson.

Ray was a trustee at Williams Baptist College, Walnut Ridge, Arkansas for many years and was a Pastor at Morrison Chapel Baptist Church, North Little Rock, Arkansas for over 35 years. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Jacksonvil­le, Arkansas. He loved the Lord, his independen­ce, and his family, especially the two grandkids. Ray was a happy, upbeat, positive guy. He encouraged everyone to accept life, and its circumstan­ces as they come with his favorite phrase, “It is what it is.”

7, 2017. She is preceded in death by three sons, Steve, James, and Eldin Kidd. She was born August 12, 1932 in Greenwood, Mississipp­i to Rosie Jones and George Watson who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three daughters, baby girl Polk, Tollie Whitaker and Charlie Whitfield; two sons, Aaron Polk and Leon Polk; and one brother, George Watson Jr. Susie loved to worship at Greater 3-4 Missionary Baptist Church. She always had a smile on her face.

Susie leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Rosie Eppenger (Keith) of Memphis, Tennessee, Lorene Silverman of Dallas, Texas, Delois Bogan of San Diego, California, Albert Polk, Jr. and Arthur Polk, both of North Little Rock, Eddie Polk of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and a host of loving grandchild­ren, great-grandchild­ren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. Susie will also be greatly missed by her church family.

–––––❖––––– MARY ANN VAUGHN, of Jacksonvil­le passed away on September 13, 2017. She was born July 18, 1933 in Ward, Arkansas to the late James and Carrie Venable. She was preceded in death by her son Raymond “Butch” Ward and her daughter Cindy Stanley. Mary worked for the Arkansas Revenue Department and retired in October 1994. She loved to cruise, attend gospel concerts, fish and play the slot machines.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Frank) Balmes of Jacksonvil­le; her daughter, Debbie (Greg) Martin of Lonoke; her son, James (Tammy) Ward of Jacksonvil­le; her daughter, Sharon (Richard) Gentry; son, Tom (Candie) Pearson of Jacksonvil­le; 14 grandchild­ren; numerous great-grandchild­ren; her brother James “Buck” Venable of Sherwood; sister, Stevie “Pete” McClure of Jacksonvil­le; sister, Lilie Mae “Sissy” Erwin of Jacksonvil­le; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
