Billboards featuring Melania Trump and the slogan “just imagine how far you can go with a little bit of English” were removed Tuesday from the Croatian capital after her lawyer threatened a lawsuit. The billboards were part of a marketing campaign by a private English language school in Zagreb that tried to persuade Croats to learn English by reminding them of the Slovenian-born U. S. first lady’s personal experience. But Trump did not accept what was apparently meant to be a joke about her English, spoken with a heavy accent. Her Slovenian lawyer demanded that the billboards, showing Trump delivering a speech standing before a fluttering American flag, be immediately removed. Trump has hired a law firm to protect her image, which has appeared on various products in her native Slovenia, including cakes, underwear and tourism advertisements. “I’m satisfied with the fact that the school admitted that they violated the law and that they are ready to remove the billboards and [ Facebook] ads,” lawyer Natasa Pirc- Musar said. “We are still analyzing possible further legal steps.” Trump, whose birth name is Melanija Knavs, left Slovenia in her 20s to pursue an international modeling career before meeting Donald Trump at a Fashion Week party in New York in 1998.

One- time pop- punk princess Avril Lavigne has beaten superstar Beyonce at something, but she may not be totally happy with her victory: Lavigne has been named the most dangerous celebrity on the Internet. On Tuesday, Cybersecurity firm McAfee said that Lavigne, whose last album came out in 2013, was the most likely celebrity to land users on websites that carry viruses or malware. Lavigne is the first female musician to take the No. 1 spot and replaced Amy Schumer, named the most dangerous celebrity on the Internet in 2016. McAfee said searches for Lavigne have a 14.5 percent chance of landing on a Web page with the potential for online threats, a number that increases to 22 percent if users type her name and search for free MP3s. Bruno Mars was second in his debut on the list, followed closely behind by Carly Rae Jepsen. The next celebrities making the list: Zayn Malik, Celine Dion, Calvin Harris, Justin Bieber, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Katy Perry and Beyonce. Lavigne, whose hits include “Sk8er Boi,” ” Complicated” and “I’m With You,” has been out of the spotlight for several years as she battles Lyme disease. McAfee suggested that Lavigne scored so high on the 11th annual list because of renewed interest after she said she’s working on a new album, as well as a feature story on her by E! Online and an Internet conspiracy theory that she has been replaced by an impostor.
