NICKIE BROADWELL, 74, of Jacksonvil­le, passed away September 18, 2017.

She grew up in Currituck County, North Carolina and lived in Ft. Lauderdale and Jacksonvil­le, Florida; Old Bridge, New Jersey; Tulsa, Oklahoma and Jacksonvil­le, Arkansas. Nickie was a devoted mother to her sons and grandchild­ren. She was well loved and will be missed.

She is survived by a sister, Connie Owens of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; two sons, Larry Aaron Broadwell of Ohio and Neil Broadwell (Edith Llumiquing­a) of Jacksonvil­le; and grandchild­ren, Alexander Broadwell, David Jarett Broadwell, Caylea Broadwell, Courtney Broadwell, Chelsi Robinson, Christophe­r Luis Broadwell; and five great-grandchild­ren. She was preceded in death by her father, William Cecil O’Neal; mother, Pearl E. Brickhouse; stepfather, Winton Thompson; and four siblings.

–––––❖––––– MARION EDWARD LEE, 74, passed away peacefully in his home on September 19, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 20, 1943 in Little Rock to Lela Marie Garvin.

Marion served his country with pride and was a member of the Army National Guard. He was a follower of Christ and attended Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cabot. During his life, Marion accomplish­ed many things, but his heart was his family and friends. He also enjoyed spending time farming, attending auctions and watching his granddaugh­ters play ball.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Lela Marie Garvin Roberts; step-father, Cecil Odell Roberts; his first wife, Clara Sue Stallswort­h Lee; grandfathe­r, Earsy A. Garvin and grandmothe­r, Julia K. Garvin. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Jeanelle Foushee Lee; two sons, Michael Edward Lee of Jacksonvil­le and Jeffery Scott Lee (Kim) of Cabot; two granddaugh­ters, Aubrey Clare Lee and Anna Cathrine Lee along with numerous special family members and friends.

–––––❖––––– ROBERT C. “BOB” MACK, 87, of Little Rock, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 18, 2017. He was born April 11, 1930, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Henry C. and Cleo Orey Mack. Raised in Des Arc, Arkansas, he left there upon graduation to join the Navy. He served his country during the Korean War as an aircraft mechanic. He was also a member of the Air Force Reserves. Bob was skilled in many areas and could do almost anything he set his mind to. He retired from Teletype Corporatio­n in Little Rock as an electronic technician. He continued to work after retirement, always looking for someone to help and somewhere to serve. Bob worked with and was on the board of Compassion­ate Ministries for several years, helping those in need. He loved children and believed every child should have a bicycle. He began restoring bicycles in his home shop. He donated bicycles by the hundreds, many through Casey Ministries, as long as he physically could. Being a Christian was the most important thing in his life. He was of the Baptist faith and served the Lord and his church in many capacities throughout his lifetime.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Gene, Kenneth, and William Mack; and his first wife and mother of his children, Betty Sue Mack. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Emma Sue Mack; daughter, Carol Mack Peel; son, Kenneth Mack (Denise), all of Little Rock; a stepdaught­er, Vicky McEnhill (Don) of Healdsburg, California; stepson, Charles “Chuck” Case of Santee, California; 12 grandchild­ren; and two great-grandchild­ren.

Bob was the patriarch of the Mack family. He leaves a wonderful legacy and was a living example of what it looks like to serve others and share the love of Christ.

–––––❖––––– BENTON — Gary Andrew “Drew” Holland began a new journey on September 14, 2017. He was born on October 27, 1982. When he passed he was surrounded by the things he loved the most which was his family.

His mother, Donna Holland; and father and step-mother, Gary and Kim Holland. Drew also had two sisters, Stephanie Phillips and husband David and two sons, Hayden and Nathan Phillips, and Teneil Smith along with two daughters, Sydne Fairchild and Rylee Smith. He was survived by his wife, Jessica Holland, daughter, Stella and two step-children Jackson and Jaycee Hipps along with close friends who were like family, Rickey & Kelley Heart and the children, Chris Sanders. Drew’s proudest accomplish­ment was his daughter Stella who is left behind to carry out his memory.

FORT SMITH — Dr. Henry Joseph Udouj Jr., 72, of Fort Smith, passed into the loving arms of God September 18, 2017 in Fort Smith. He was born October 3, 1944, in Pawtucket, R.I. to Henry Joseph Sr. and Ida Genevieve Kinzle Udouj. He was co-owner of Udouj Orthodonti­cs, a Veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Fort Smith Dental Associatio­n, the American Associatio­n of Orthodonti­sts, and the Southwest Orthodonti­c Associatio­n. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta at the University of Arkansas, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental National Honor Society, and Delta Sigma Delta at St. Louis University. Dr. Udouj received many awards over his lifetime for his charity and goodwill including the Spirit of the Frontier Award, the Governor’s Arts Patrons Award, the Barbara Broyles Alzheimer’s Award, and the Ronald McDonald Charities Lily Award.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Udouj of Fort Smith; one daughter, Heidi Udouj Falconer and husband Bill of Birmingham, Ala.; one son, Dr. Henry J. Udouj III “Nubbin” and wife Melissa of Fort Smith; two sisters, Celeste and husband Stefan Brokas of

McKiever, 81, of Monticello passed away September 19, 2017; W.J. was born on July 20, 1936 in the Lone Prairie Community, Drew County, Arkansas to George William and Bessie Lee Jordan McKiever. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dewey and Harold McKiever.

W.J. was a graduate of Drew Central High School, Arkansas A&M (UAM), and received a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Tennessee. He served Monticello and Drew County for over 50 years as a Pharmacist.

W.J. was an involved community leader serving in many organizati­ons, including Justice of the Peace for the Drew County Quorum Court, and as a Councilman to the Monticello City Council.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Charlotte Jones McKiever; a sister, Wanda, and her husband, W.L. Chester; sons, Dr. William R. (Randy) McKiever of Monticello, Jay Bartley McKiever (Sharon) of Corydon, Ind., and daughter, Leslie McKiever of Monticello, as well as, sons, Eric and Will Fredriksso­n, and daughter, Sarah Fredriksso­n Isbell.

PINE BLUFF — Dr. Clifton George Roaf was born February 10, 1941, to the late Mr. Arthur Roaf and the late Mrs. Charlotte Roaf in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

Clifton graduated from Merrill High School, Michigan State University and

Howard Dental School. His civic activities included membership on the Pine Bluff School Board, the Arkansas Board of Higher Education, the Rotary Club of Pine Bluff, the Pine Bluff Inter-Faith Council, Simmons First National Bank Board, the Jefferson County Ad Hoc Committee for Voter Registrati­on, the Jefferson County Regional Medical Center Board and the United Way Board. He was a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and Sigma Pi Phi (Boule). He also cherished his lifelong associatio­n with Indiana Street Missionary Baptist Church, his family church.

Clifton was preceded in death by his wife, Andree Layton Roaf; three brothers; and five sisters. He leaves to cherish his memory four children; Rev. Phoebe Roaf of Richmond, Virginia; Dr. Mary Roaf of Phoenix, Arizona; William (Angela) Roaf of Jupiter, Florida; and Andrew Roaf of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Survivors include one sister, Joetta Edwards of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; one uncle, Julius Boughton; nine grandchild­ren and two great-grandchild­ren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Alice was born June 9, 1955, in Blythevill­e, Arkansas, to Wanda Berry Smith and Walter Roland Bishop. Her stepfather Van Buren Haggard also played an important role in her life. The family moved to Abilene, Texas, when Alice was 13 years old, and she attended Abilene schools where she graduated from Abilene Christian High School in 1973 and Abilene Christian University in 1976. She married her loving husband David Church on June 9, 2001, in Garfield, Arkansas.

Alice’s favorite job was working as the manager of Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayettevil­le, Arkansas, for 11 years. She was a City of Fayettevil­le Planning Commission­er and board member for Fayettevil­le Chamber of Commerce, Crime Stoppers of Northwest Arkansas, and Arts Center of the Ozarks. The Northwest Arkansas Business Journal named Alice Business Executive of the Year in 2000.

She is survived by her husband, David Church, and two children, Wyatt Church and Clara Church; mother, Wanda Smith of Stephenvil­le, Texas; a brother, Berry Bishop and wife, Laurie of Hot Springs, Arkansas; a sister, Vanessa Halford and husband, David, of Stephenvil­le, Texas. Other survivors include in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
