Arkansas Beauty College
Arkansas Beauty College instructors are all qualified to teach the school’s cosmetologist, nail technician and cosmetology instructor-training programs. The college’s instructors have more than 60 years of experience as licensed cosmetology educators, as well as more than 100 years of combined experience in the beauty industry. The school’s instructors are licensed with the Arkansas Department of Health cosmetology section and the state Department of Education. The staff has many advanced certifications that include, but are not limited to, the CHI permanent coloring and straightening system, Spa Girl kinetic dermabrasion and lymphatic drainage.
GOOD TO KNOW: Every instructor at Arkansas Beauty College is part of the Milady Master Educator Program. Its licensure rate is 100 percent for every student who graduates and takes the state board exam. The college’s instructors pride themselves on providing the best education possible within the beauty industry. In a salon atmosphere, instructors teach their students everything expected in a salon, from answering the phone to providing the students with the opportunity to perform all beautification techniques while being supervised continuously by their instructors. Students also learn all the sanitation and disinfection processes necessary in a salon for the safety of clients and students. The staff includes Barbara Ward, owner, director and instructor; Debbie Deckard, assistant director and instructor; Robin Looper, financial-aid officer; Vicky Clowers, instructor; and Amy Vickers, instructor.
