WHAT MAKES RUSSELLVILLE A GREAT PLACE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE?
There are so many outdoor-recreation spaces. You can go down many roads and end at a park, disc-golf course or lake. There are also many volunteer opportunities in Russellville providing mentorship; plus, our downtown is booming.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT LIVING IN RUSSELLVILLE?
I enjoy being involved with Russellville the most. I have so many opportunities to express my thoughts, support what matters to me and learn from people who want to invest in who I am as a person. I am also a bit of a homebody, but seeing the mountains, lakes and walking trails gives me a lot of time to think and enjoy the world around me. It’s a great balance, being able to appreciate myself and my connection to the land, but also be close to my neighbors.
HOW DO YOU STAY INVOLVED IN YOUR COMMUNITY?
I volunteer as an organizer with The McElroy House of Dardanelle. The McElroy House is a community hub where we educate, advocate and serve the communities our hearts are in and, together as organizers, we invest in creating the world we want to live in. I also volunteer with other organizations as often as I can. There is no shortage of volunteer opportunities. If Russellville has anything, it has heart.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO ON A FRIDAY NIGHT IN RUSSELLVILLE?
This is a toughie. There is a lot to choose from. We have really well-lit parks, so I love taking a short walk, swinging and journaling by the lake. I take as much creative and idea time as I can on the weekends.
