J.M. Hornbrook Art Exhibit
BEEBE — The Arkansas State University-Beebe Art Department is featuring the artworks of J.M. Hornbrook in
an exhibit, The Aesthetics of Decay and My Social Insecurity, through Saturday in the England Center Art Gallery, 201 N. Orange St. Hornbrook is a print maker and multidisciplinary artist with an emphasis in intaglio, lithography, silkscreen, relief and experimental photography. Vietnam War Veterans Meetings
MELBOURNE — The Izard County Veterans Service Office is sponsoring meetings for veterans of the Vietnam War era, all service branches. The group meets from 10:30 a.m. to noon every first and third Thursday in the old Kustom Made Graphics building, 614 Main St., directly across from Mark’s Pharmacy. HORSESHOE BEND — St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus Council 10493 of Horseshoe Bend invites everyone to its last Pancake Breakfast fundraiser for 2017 from 7:30 a.m. to noon Oct. 7 at St. Mary’s Church Hall, First and Church streets. The menu will include pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, and juice or coffee. A $5 donation is requested. The event will benefit people with intellectual disabilities in Arkansas.
