Owner Linda Hall opened Grandma’s Collectibles in Cabot 14 years ago as a tribute to her mom, because the two were always on the out look for a good flea market, she said.

Now, what started as a hobby for Hall has grown into a 29,000-square-foot flea market that features about 50 vendors, some of which have been with the market since it opened.

When visitors walk into the building, there is a chance they will see many things they have never seen before, Hall said. In addition to collectibles, furniture and new items, customers will find booths that feature jewelry, glassware, vintage and refurbished items, home decor, holiday items, clothing and shoes.

People visit the flea market for many reasons, Hall said. Some are looking for hidden treasures, and others are wanting to furnish their first home on a tight budget. Hall said she considers many of her repeat customers to be like friends and family.

Hall said there are a couple of vendor booths available to rent, and anyone interested can stop by for all the details. A booth in her flea market is a great way to make extra money, Hall said.

Hall’s secret as a successful businesswoman, she said, is simply to treat people well.

“I don’t take advantage of people,” Hall said. “We come from a generation where you treat everyone right, and treat them nice.”
