When it comes to financial services, customers can bank on the women at Riverwind Bank. The company has 33 employees, 31 of whom are women, and senior vice president Michelle Davis said each staff member is integral to the bank’s success.

“In a small organization such as ours, teamwork is key,” she said. “Our ladies work very hard each day to get the job done.”

Riverwind Bank, formerly known as The Bank of Augusta, opened in Augusta in 1935 during the Great Depression. Despite the era’s economic struggles, the bank received $120,000 in deposits its first day. The bank continued to prosper and has since opened a second location in Augusta and two locations in Searcy.

The bank offers checking and savings accounts for individuals and businesses, as well as loan services. The company also offers Christmas Club plans for customers who would like to get a head start on holiday saving. Riverwind bank has a reputation for great customer service, Davis said, adding that the staff takes great pride in taking care of customers with a personal touch and meeting customers’ financial needs.

“We couldn’t do what we do as a bank daily without each and every one’s efforts and contributions to our team,” she said. “We are very proud of the women in our organization and want them to know how much we appreciate them.”
