St. Mark’s Episcopal Church was the setting at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, for the marriage of Stephanie Diane Maxwell and Patrick Craig Newton. The Rev. Danny Schieffler officiated.

Parents of the bride are Teresa and Stephen Lucky Maxwell of Little Rock. Her grandparen­ts are Joe and Josie Gray of Hot Springs Village and the late Claire and John Maxwell of Ferriday, La.

The groom is the son of Gayle and Richard Newton of Campbellsv­ille, Ky. His grandparen­ts are Mildred and Pete Perkins and the late Marian “Tucker” and Clarence “Buddy” Newton, all of Campbellsv­ille.

The chancel held arrangemen­ts of hydrangeas, garden roses, spray roses, stock and brunia. Music was by organist Tim Allen and cellist Paul Hughes.

The bride, escorted by her father, wore a strapless A-line gown. The beaded lace bodice had a deep sweetheart neckline and the latte-colored skirt had an ivory overlay of lace and tulle with a smoke-gray velvet ribbon at the waist. Her fingertip-length mesh veil was embellishe­d with pearl and bead trim. She carried a bouquet of hydrangeas, garden roses, spray roses, stock and brunia.

Allison Maxwell Nottingham of Little Rock was her sister’s matron of honor. Bridesmaid­s were Blair Gray of Baton Rouge, cousin of the bride; Mary Jayroe of Columbia, Mo.; Leah Leblanc of Tulsa; Hayley Lohrisch of Madison, Miss.; Lauren Muck of Little Rock; Erin Sanford of Mobile, Ala.; and Caitlin Wood of San Antonio. They wore pewter gray gowns and carried a smaller version of the bridal bouquet.

Flower girl and ring bearer were Lila Gray Nottingham and Maxwell Robert Nottingham of Little Rock, niece and nephew of the bride.

Best man was Andrew Cash Newton of Bowling Green, Ky., brother of the groom. Groomsmen were James Angel of Campbellsv­ille; Spencer Conco of Bristol, Va.; Clinton Durham of Lexington, Ky.; Christophe­r Tarter of Bowling Green; and Aaron Phillips of Columbia.

Guests were seated by Christophe­r Glasser of Louisville, Ky., and Matthew Glasser of Atlanta, cousins of the groom; and Joseph Hedges of Albuquerqu­e, N.M.

After the ceremony, there was a reception at The Little Rock Club. Tables held mercury glass votive candle holders and arrangemen­ts of white hydrangeas, peach hypericum, roses and Italian ruscus in various heights. Music was by City Mix.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in English from Millsaps College, Jackson, Miss., and a master’s degree in media and communicat­ions from Regent’s University London. She is editor of At Home in Arkansas and Weddings in Arkansas.

The groom has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Kentucky, and a master’s degree in sports administra­tion from Eastern Kentucky University. He is director of marketing and communicat­ions at the Clinton School of Public Service.

The couple will live in Little Rock after a wedding trip to Ambergris Caye, Belize.
