GARY W. BROOKS, 68, of North Little Rock went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 13,

2017. He was born August 15,

1949 in North

Little Rock, Arkansas. He was an avid golfer at Burns Park and a longtime member of Park

Hill Baptist Church.

Gary is survived by his mother and stepdad, Doris and Gene Robbins; wife of 24 years, Jill Brooks; children, Bryan Brooks (Shannon), Whitney Taylor (Jason), and Blake Brooks; grandchild­ren, Noah and Avery Brooks, Madison Alford, Reece and Channing Williams, Hannah, Mattie and Neely Taylor; sister, Terri Frazier (Mark) and other extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Judson Brooks; his grandmothe­r, Gladys Brooks; and sister, Patti Burt.

–––––❖––––– BILLY (BILL) GLEE HARRIS, age 63, passed away at his home, November 4, 2017, in Mabelvale, Arkansas. Bill was born on June 10, 1954, in Clinton, Arkansas, to Audie G. Harris and M. Louella (Hayes) Harris.

He graduated from Clinton High School in 1972. Bill also graduated from Petit Jean Vocational Technical School in appliance service in 1973. He continued his education with Dale Carnegie management training, graduating in 1996.

Bill lived in the Little Rock area most of his life, with a career in service, management and sales in the heating, ventilatio­n and air conditioni­ng (HVAC) field. He most recently worked at Camp Robinson with the Arkansas National Guard, and retired in October 2017.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, and his brother, Steven C. Harris of Branson, Missouri. Bill is survived by his nephew, Phillip Harris; his niece, Elizabeth Sparks and her husband, Derek Sparks; his sister-in-law, Carol Harris, all of Branson, Missouri; his aunt, Betty Harris of Conway, and numerous cousins and friends. He also left behind his favorite companions, dogs Bear and Goofus.

A memorial service is scheduled at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas. –––––❖––––– JACKSON “JACK” HOLMAN, 87, of Little Rock, went into the loving arms of Jesus November 14, 2017. He was born May 12, 1930 in Little Rock, to the late Rev. William and Annie (Clark) Holman. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfathe­r, and great- grandfathe­r. He was a musician, loved to play the piano, and it was important to him that people heard the gospel. Jack was a giver, he was known for his thoughtful­ness, and kindness. He owned three drug stores and he then retired from the VA hospital as Supervisor of Outpatient Pharmacy, and worked and volunteere­d with Arkansas Hospice. Jack served 2 years in the Korean War as a Medic with the 140th Tank Battalion. He attended Fellowship Bible Church for 26 years. His passion was serving others through Christ and ministerin­g as a lay preacher, church elder, deacon, and mentoring through the prison ministries. He loved going to the beach and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, David Christophe­r Neaves; brother, Leon Holman; and sister, Musetta Sadler. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Holman; daughters, Terri Alpe and Lori Neaves (David); grandchild­ren, Nathan LeMay, Lauren Rogers (Jonathan), Joshua LeMay, KatieAnne Neaves; two great-grandchild­ren, Dhani Stevenson and Lillian Spaulding; and two nephews, Ken and Charles Holman.

2017, surrounded by family and friends. She was preceded by her parents, Berry and Everlenia Iverson; two brothers, Rufus and Cornelius Iverson; two sisters, Magalene and Elnatha Wilkins.

She began her career with the Little Rock School District and during the next 40 years of her career as an educator, Deloris worked in many capacities to assist classroom teachers in closing the achievemen­t gap.

Her loving survivors include: children, Ricky (Tonjuna) Iverson, Zebralon Dukes, Cedrick Blue and Terra Dukes all of Little Rock, Ark.; siblings, Iona Christophe­r, Bessie Iverson and Evelyn Iverson all of Pastoria, Ark., Pauline (Jesse) Anderson, of Little Rock, Ark., Willie (Norma) Iverson of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Versie Cogshell of Little Rock, Ark.; sister-in-law, Pearl Iverson of Pine Bluff, Ark.; special lifelong friends, Dorothy Jackson of Pine Bluff, Ark., Nona Scoggins and Charlotte Washington both of Little Rock, Ark., and a host of other relatives and friends.

–––––❖––––– JO-LYNN B. PEARSON, 91, of North Little Rock, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017. She was born June 23, 1926 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Linnie Isabella Harrison and Joe Burr.

She is survived by five children, Clifford Ray Pearson, Jr. (Ginger), Peggy Lynn Pearson, Donna Leah Monroe (Jeffrey), Cynthia Anne Fiegel (Donald H.) and Janice Carol Lisk (Keith); 16 grandchild­ren; and 19 great-grandchild­ren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Clifford Ray Pearson Sr.

“Hands of an artist, smile of a friend” described Jo-Lynn’s high school yearbook picture and was true all her life. She loved raising her children — drawing and painting with them, making clothes and dance costumes, making sure they had piano lessons and played in band, and supporting whatever they did as adults. Jo-Lynn was an excellent secretary at Timex when she became a homemaker, then was proud of her work as a machinist at Teletype, where she retired. She loved her Lord and Savior and had many friends at Bible Study Fellowship and her church. She was a prayer warrior for her children and anyone who requested prayer, as part of her daily prayer and Bible reading routine, guided by the Daily Bread devotional book that she distribute­d to her children. JoLynn lived life well and we will miss her as long as we’re on this earth, but we are joyful at the prospect of seeing her again in Heaven.
