Christian Christmas concert leads live music lineup

Contempora­ry Christian singer-songwriter Steven Curtis Chapman, along with Plumb, We Are Messengers and Marc Martel, will perform for the K-LOVE Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Saturday in Robinson Center Performanc­e Hall in Little Rock. Tickets are $22.99, $27.99 and $31.99.

Chapman is a veteran of many Arkansas performanc­es. Plumb (Tiffany Arbuckle Lee) is a native of Indianapol­is who grew up in Nashville, Tenn. She has released seven albums since debuting in 1997. We Are Messengers is a worship band led by Irish musician Darren Mulligan and his wife, Heidi Mulligan. Marc Martel, a native of Montreal, Canada, is a singer who first became prominent when he sang “Somebody to Love,” a Queen hit, alongside Queen drummer Roger Taylor in a competitio­n.

Based in Nashville, Martel released a Christmas EP in November 2016.

The show is the first in an 18-date tour by the musicians, which will conclude with a performanc­e at the Beacon Theater in New York City on Dec. 17.

K-LOVE is an associatio­n of radio stations that program Christian music. The central Arkansas station is KWLRFM, 96.9, in Maumelle. Other K-LOVE radio stations in Arkansas broadcast in Batesville, El Dorado, Fort Smith-Booneville, Hot Springs, Weiner, Hoxie, Jonesboro, Marvell, Melbourne, Pine Bluff, Searcy and Texarkana.

The third annual “Block Friday — The All Black Affair” will feature the Rodney Block Collective featuring Bijoux, Ricky Latt, J Phil, and AJB Showtime at 9 p.m. Friday at the Rev Room in Little Rock. General admission is $15, reserved seating $20.

The event is a birthday celebratio­n for Efrem Neely.

Adam Faucett, along with opening act Or, will perform at 9 p.m. Friday at White Water Tavern. Admission is $6.

Faucett, a Benton native based in Little Rock, released a debut album, The Great Basking Shark, in 2007. He followed up with

Show Me Magic, Show Me Out in 2008; More Like a Temple in 2011; and Blind Water Finds Blind Water in 2014.

He has toured with Calexico, The Legendary Shack Shakers and Lucero.

Tragikly White will perform at 9 p.m. Friday at Stickyz Rock ’N’ Roll Chicken Shack in Little Rock. Admission is $10.

Swampbird, along with opening acts Colour Design and The Uh Huhs, will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $8.
