Bridal Show adds perks for brides-to-be
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Bridal Show continues to be better than ever – from a mini-master catering showcase to the added perks to our Very Important Bride tickets – this show can’t be missed. The Bridal Show’s hours are 12:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. The show boasts more than 150, reputable vendors to help engaged couples plan their weddings from start to finish. This show is the largest in Arkansas and has an estimated 3,500 in attendance. The Bridal Show is not your typical trade show, according to Amanda Copley, events director of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. “The show has evolved over the years to be more of an idea showcase as many of the vendors including florists, entertainment companies, caterers and rental companies want to display what they can do,” she said. “Since they have one chance to make a good impression – they go big! They spend months developing their space and days constructing designs. It is worth the price of admission just to see the latest trends, designs and wedding ideas from the vendors.” Tickets are $15 at the door or can be bought online for $10 in advance or at select locations. The show continues its favorite contests and prizes - cupcake-eating contest, build your own bouquet, and the newspaper dress. The Runway Fashion Show features more than 50 looks – from wedding gowns and tuxedos to bridesmaid’s gowns to jewelry for the entire wedding party. One lucky couple will win the Ultimate Wedding Package, valued at more than $10,000. The giveaway, which will be given out randomly at 5 p.m., features such prizes as photography, a DJ for the reception, fashion for the wedding, flowers, cake, room rentals, dental services and more. Other prizes will be given out throughout the show. Brides-to-be will receive a free 2018 Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Bridal Planner, published by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
