CABOT — North Little Rock’s outside game was too much for Cabot to handle Friday night at Panther Arena.

The Charging Wildcats knocked down seven three-pointers in a 63-49 victory over the Panthers.

“We’ve got shooters who can hit,” North Little Rock Coach Johnny Rice said. “We probably hit four or five a game. But hitting seven, it was a big plus for us.”

With Friday’s victory, North Little Rock (16-4, 5-1) is tied for first place with Fort Smith Northside in the 7A-Central Conference standings.

Moody led North Little Rock with 16 points, including 3 three-pointers. He made all of his three-pointers in the first half to help the Charging Wildcats take a 33-18 halftime lead. Also for the Charging Wildcats, Collin Moore scored 11 of his 15 points in the second

half. Spencer Simes and Justin Thrower each added nine points.

“Moody is such a tough matchup for us because he’s a good shooter out there,” Cabot Coach Jerry Bridges said. “He hit some threes. You pick your poison. [Thrower], we hadn’t seen him do much on tape, but he goes out and hits 3 threes. They’re just a good, solid ball club, man.”

Noah Allgood scored 14 points to lead Cabot (14-7, 2-5), which has lost four consecutive. Jacob Hudson finished with 13 points and made two three-pointers.

North Little Rock got going early, taking a 13-4 lead in the first six minutes, with Moody making two three-pointers. The Charging Wildcats used a 10-0 run in the second quarter to extend their lead to 28-11
