-

1 Purse $20,000, 1 mile, 4-year-olds and up which have never won two races, claiming $8,000 **RUNAWAY KING was a three-time runner-up at Delaware while competing at a higher claiming price, and he fired well when fresh last spring at Gulfstream. K L S FORTY THREE raced wide when third at this same condition at Churchill, and trainer Hartman switches to his “go-to” rider. ADMIRAL SHEPARD raced well in allowance races at Remington, and he benefits from a class drop and a favorable two-turn post. 2 Purse $20,000, 5 ½ furlongs, 3-year-olds and up, maiden claiming $10,000

**SNOOSE SASA was one-paced in a $30,000k maiden-claimer at Churchill, but he is dropping to the bottom of the local maiden ranks and one of his better races is likely good enough. TARPYS ZIP has not raced since August, but he is taking a significant drop for a high percentage stable that is due to heat up. TIZ FUNNY ran a good race when fresh at a higher level last season at Churchill, and he has a series of swift recent works and appears to be the one to catch. 3 Purse $25,000, 1 1/16 miles, 4-year-olds and up which have never won three races, claiming $16,000

****RINGS OF JUPITER has recorded both of his victories on the tough southern California circuit, and he has a clear Beyer figure edge and a red-hot trainer. PONTASTIC is moving up a condition following a four-length romp at Churchill, and the late-runner keeps five-time leading rider Ricardo Santana. EITELJORG has been on the bench since June, but he has raced competitively in three previous layoff situations. 4 Purse $23,000, 6 furlongs, 3-yearolds and up which have never won two races, claiming $16,000 ***SUPREME VENTURE is a lightly raced six-year-old with a clear talent advantage, and the California shipper has top connections. FUDGE PROUD is cutting back to a preferred distance and dropping in class for winning connections, and blinkers off is a switch that can produce improved performance. TEXAS SKY circled rivals on the turn in late-running second-place finish at Remington, and his running style has been winning races in 2018. 5 Purse $32,000, 6 furlongs, 3-yearolds and up which have never won two races, claiming $40,000 **SING HIM A SONG raced close to a fast early pace in a clear second-place finish, he benefits from a race over the track and gets in light with an apprentice rider aboard. SEVEN FORTY SEVEN earned a competitive Beyer figure in a maiden victory last winter at Oaklawn, and the speedy gelding has a hot trainer and is dangerous if fit following a long break. BURGAMEISTER is back sprinting following a useful route race over this track, and he was claimed by a sharp stable and figures a late threat. 6 Purse $77,000, 6 furlongs, 4-yearolds and up, Arkansas-bred, allowance

***FIVE O ONE followed a career debut victory with an emphatic victory in the Rainbow Stakes last winter, and trainer Brad Cox sports a high winning percentage with runners returning from vacation time. J P OF GALILEE found his stride as a five-year-old, finishing in the exacta in 6 of 10 races while earning Beyer figures that are best in this field. PRIMARILY GOLD has a new trainer who is dangerous off the claim, and the quick gelding has a race over the track and is an upsetter. 7 Purse $35,000, 6 furlongs, fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up, claiming $20,000

**AVICII is adding blinkers for new and red-hot trainer Doug O’Neill, and she is dropping to the lowest price of her career and she has a versatile running style. COMPOSE is an exceptionally quick mare who has won 13 races, and she has been almost unbeatable when running in a claiming race. PLUM GORGEOUS had a three-race winning streak at Remington, and she is taking a slight drop following a second-place finish at odds-on. 8 Purse $76,000, 1 mile, fillies, 3 and 4-year-olds, allowance ***ECONOMIES OF SCALE finished third in two fast allowance races at Fair Grounds, and she has route speed and picks up Hall of Famer Gary Stevens. FIVE STAR FACTOR did her best racing in 2017 at Oaklawn Park, and the front-running sprinter has proven route ability.

WHOLEHEARTED finished two positions behind the top selection in New Orleans, and an abundance of speed in the race gives him a chance to reverse the finish. 9 Purse $24,000, 6 furlongs, fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up, cClaiming $12,500

**EVENT OF DEFAULT is a consistently competitive mare who is taking a slight drop in class, and she has a race over the track and switches to a winning veteran rider. LOUISE’S LEGACY won three races last season, including an allowance race at Lone Star, and the Steve Asmussen trainee has been readied at Houston. DO IT has finished in-the-money in seven of her past eight races, and she drew a good post for a sprinter with speed.
