She is the daughter of Stephanie and Judge Wiley Branton Jr. of Maumelle and the granddaughter of Carolyn and Ernest Gibson of Olympia Fields, Ill., and the late Lucille and Wiley Branton. She is a graduate of the Millikin University, Decatur, Ill., with a bachelor’s degree in communications and from Columbia College, Chicago, with a master’s degree in arts and media management. She is executive director of institutional advancement at Robert Morris University, Chicago.

He is the son of Alphonzo Smith of Crown Point, Ind., and the late Anita Smith. He is the grandson of Norma Jean Smith and Sam Jackson of Gary, Ind., and the late Caliena and Jesse Amos. He has a bachelor’s degree in business and master’s degree in business administration from Florida A&M University, Tallahassee, and is an assistant vice-president at Retail Properties of America Inc. in Oakbrook, Ill. Diguette have made plans to marry May 5 in St. Louis Cathedral, New Orleans.

She is the daughter of Melissa and Michael Tooley and the granddaughter of Gloria and James C. Summerlin, all of Little Rock, and the late Doris and Edmund Tooley. She graduated Tulane University with a bachelor’s degree in communications and from the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University with a master’s degree in public service and administration.

He is the son of Susan and the late Paul Diguette of Acton, Mass. His grandparents are the late Barbara and Charles Sweny and the late Rita and Joe Diguette. He is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal, with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, and is employed as a senior engineering manager.
