Governor’s appointments
Gov. Asa Hutchinson has appointed Dr. Matthew McDonough of Jonesboro to the state Board of Dental Examiners.
McDonough, whose term expires Sept. 1, 2022, replaces Dr. Richard L. Smith.
McDonough is a native of Jonesboro and a graduate of Arkansas State University. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis in 2007. He completed residency training and received his certificate in oral and maxillofacial surgery from Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa., in 2013. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
The board regulates the practice of dentistry, dental hygiene and dental assisting. More than 5,000 individuals hold a current license or permit issued by the board.
