William Brown.

He attended public schools in Little Rock,

Ark. Later, he graduated from

Jarvis College in Hawkins, Texas. He joined church at an early age.

Survivors, wife, Doris Brown of Little Rock; brother, John A. Brown of Little Rock; sons, Robert Brown Jr. of Winston Salem, N.C. and William A. Brown of Danville, Ky.; daughter Carol Brown Smith of Linothia, Georgia and a host of grandchild­ren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Cross Street Christian Church, 1223 South Cross Street, Little Rock. Viewing one hour prior to services. Bernice was the

2nd oldest of 5 children. Mrs.

Bernice Johnson was a Master Gardener and lifetime member of the National Herb Society of Pulaski County. She was known as the “Herb” lady, was a past board member of the (WNA). Had made several of her own cookbooks from her personal recipes that she shared with family and close friends, Everyone that knew her, knew her fantastic cooking, she loved to share it and you always wanted seconds. She spent her days tending her personal “Herb” garden. She was active in her neighborho­od Untied Methodist Church.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James Tommy Johnson, three sisters and one brother and her daughter, Cynthia Lynn McCarty Johnson. Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sons, James Clark Johnson and Ronald Paul Johnson, daughter-in-law, Scherrie Johnson and grandchild­ren, Daniel Johnson, Keely Johnson, Hannah Harrison, Carrie Ridgeway, Mikki Garalde and Tracee Morrow, four great-grandchild­ren, Zack and Samantha Boyette and Nicholas and Lauren Morrow. She will be greatly missed.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her son, Jeffrey Royce of Sherwood; sisters, Janet Marie Davidson of Cabot and Judith Ann McClain (Johnny) of Little Rock; nieces, Shelia Denise Harrison (David) of Texarkana and Dana McClain of Little Rock; nephew, Ruebel Vaiden Holmes (Karen) of Vilonia; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Little Rock Fire Department after 20 years of service and co-owner of Northside Heating & A/C in

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul & Edna Shirley and brother, Roger Shirley. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Chuckie Shirley; daughter, Rebecca Shirley; sons, Rob Shirley (Teresa) and Joe Shirley (Kelly); eight grandchild­ren and three great-grandchild­ren; sister, Connie Worden (Jim); brothers, Ricky Shirley (Linda) and Anthony Shirley (Sue); and many nephews and nieces.
