The wonderful wife and adoring mother leaves behind her husband Richard Kron, her children: Denise McBryde and her husband Matt of Tamo; Brandon Bassett and his wife Kelly of Little Rock; and Stacy Gober and her husband Kerry of Paradise, Texas.

Rebecca, born in Texarkana, also leaves behind her mother, Faye Wagnon of Texarkana, and one sister, Kaye Hancock, as well as one awesome granddaugh­ter, Addison McBryde, and a stepdaught­er, Tonya Kron of Fort Collins, Colo.

Rebecca spent more than 40 years working in the legal and banking arenas and had recently retired, hoping to travel the country in a motorhome with her husband and their dog.

Elsie Schemel Schulte. Ed graduated from Perryville High where he played basketball and was quarterbac­k for the football team. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Electrical Engineerin­g. He served as plant manager at Franklin Electric in Jacksonvil­le, Ark. before opening a staffing company in Little Rock in 1973. Schulte was the founding president of the Arkansas Staffing Associatio­n. His company was one of the founding companies of StaffMark Staffing when it became a public corporatio­n. Ed was active at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in North Little Rock serving 2 terms as Senior Warden. He donated the Music and Education building at St. Luke’s in memory of his late wife, Johnnie Trulove Schulte. He is a member of the Second Presbyteri­an Church in Little Rock.

Ed is preceded in death by his first wife, Johnnie Trulove Schulte; brothers, Henry “Jip” Jr., Jess, Melvin “Jack” and Calvin; sisters, Lyndola Hudson, Leona Hoffman, Dorothy Walls, Thelma Stark, Euline Schutte and stepson, Darrell Stevenson. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Dona Stevenson Schulte; son, Steve Schulte (Bobbe); daughter, Karla Schulte; stepdaught­er, Tonya Werner (Chris); grandchild­ren, James and Johnathan Schulte, David Sibley, Leah Toombs; step-grandchild­ren, Rilye Dillard, Gabrielle Beavers (Mitchell), Emily and Will Werner, Annabelle Beavers, Devin Patire; sister, Maxine Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Although Philip was born in California, he was a resident of Arkansas for most of his life. He and his wife, Donna, lived in Cabot for the last six years. Philip graduated from Jacksonvil­le High School in 1962 and from UALR and UCA. He also served in the United States Army. He was a loving man who never met a stranger, and he was known for being able to put a smile on anyone’s face.

Philip is preceded in death by his father, George Brown; mother, Francis Brown; and brother Steven Brown. SAN DIEGO — Elizabeth Morgan “Betsy” Meek, age 71, of San Diego, California, formerly of Warren, Arkansas died March 2, 2017. She was born February 25, 1946, a daughter of the late Samuel Baldwin Meek, Jr. and Mary Janet Morgan Meek. She was a member of the Warren High School Class of 1964, attended the University of Arkansas at Fayettevil­le and held a BA degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She was a Presbyteri­an and served the Gillespie School in La Jolla, California as librarian.

Surviving is a son Michael Baldwin Meek, Watsonvill­e, California; a sister, Melinda Meek Hennessey, San Diego, Calif., former Dean of Faculty and history teacher of Bishop’s School, La Jolla, California; cousins, Cliff Morgan, Warren, Arkansas; Mike Morgan, Blue Springs, Missouri, Charles Morgan, Belton, Missouri and John B. Frazer Jr., Warren, Arkansas; Preceding her in death in addition to her parents is a brother-in-law, Gregg Hennessey; cousins, Lawrence H. Derby, Jr. and Samuel Arthur Derby.

Betsy’s avocations included water color painting, gardening and reading, all of which brought her great joy. Betsy came up in and was very active at First Presbyteri­an Church in Warren, Arkansas. Through her life Betsy shared her faith in action through her loyalty to, love for, and care for her family and friends, most notably her son, Michael, her sister Melinda, her brother-in-law Gregg, her students, her friends of longstandi­ng, her colleagues and her community.

A Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, March 10, at Oakland Cemetery, Warren, Arkansas, led by speakers Pauline Appleton Hudkins and Melinda Meek Hennessey. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on

July 6, 1952, the son of the late

John F. and Lorain Danner of

Searcy, Arkansas. A longtime member of First Baptist Church in Searcy, he graduated from Searcy High School in 1970 and from Ouachita Baptist University in 1975. After college, he worked at Camp Carter in Fort Worth, Texas, where he served as camp host during the 1970s and ’80s; and then United Healthcare in Plano, Texas, for the past 24 years.

Jim is survived by brothers, John Mearl Danner, of Collinsvil­le, Alabama; and Mark Danner, of Spokane, Washington; sister, Rebecca Danner Remley, of Birmingham, Alabama; nieces, Lian Remley, of Birmingham, Alabama; Heather Danner Owens and Rayna Danner, both of Center, Alabama; and aunt, Betty Wilfong, of Little Rock, Arkansas. His extended family includes Gene, Margaret, and Ashley Vestal, of Decatur, Texas; along with many endearing co-workers at United Healthcare.

A memorial service to celebrate Jim’s life was held Monday March 5, 2018 in Plano, Texas. Jim will be laid to rest at Historic Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas.
