Arkansas postcard past

- By Ray Hanley

LITTLE ROCK, 1968 J.W. Fulbright had first been elected to the U.S. Senate in 1944, rising to fame in matters of foreign relations. The 1968 campaign for which the postcard was made saw Fulbright win re-election, defeating “Justice” Jim Johnson in the primary and Republican Charles Bernard in the fall. Fulbright would lose the next time in 1974 to Dale Bumpers. Arkansas Postcard Past, P.O. Box 2221, Little Rock, Ark. 72203.
