N.C. singer-songwriter Caleb Caudle plays LR
Caleb Caudle will perform at 9 p.m. today at White Water Tavern in Little Rock. Admission is $7.
Caudle, a Winston-Salem, N.C., native, cites The Clash, Velvet Underground and Miles Davis as his musical influences. His 2014 album, Paint Another Layer on My Heart, was one of Southern Living magazine’s “10 Southern Bands to Listen to Today.” His follow-up, Carolina Ghost, was released in February 2016, and his latest, Crushed Coins, came out Feb. 23.
On March 15, he was part of the lineup for Willie Nelson’s Luck Reunion in Luck, Texas, and in February, he joined John Prine, Richard Thompson, Paul Thorn and others on the Cayamo Cruise.
Fiscal Spliff, Headcold and Brother Andy will perform at 9 p.m. Friday. Admission is $5.
Rodney Block & The Real Music Lovers will perform a Lauryn Hill tribute show at 9 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $10.

Dave Miller and Rocktown Revival will perform at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Thirst ’n’ Howl in Little Rock. Admission is $5.
Miller, a Little Rock native, has been leading bands for decades, going back to his days with Gumbo when it was based in Colorado but frequently played in central Arkansas. He has recently recorded two albums in Colorado with some of the Gumbo musicians: Just Flow: The Tribute Sessions (a tribute to his late friend, Little Rock musician Pat Hooper) in November 2016 and Southern Dreams in October 2017.
His Little Rock bandmates in Rocktown Revival are Bill McCumber on bass, B.J. Davis on drums, Frank Cox on guitar, Bill Thurman on fiddle and Leslie McBryde on vocals.

Higginbotham, an upright bassist and vocalist and member of the Bob Boyd Sounds group for more than two decades, will celebrate the release of his second CD, Blues on the Corner. He will be accompanied by Brandon Dorris on tenor saxophone, Chris Parker on piano and Paul Stivitts on drums.
