SARA JAMES LANDES BRADLEY JAMES CASTRELLON
Wedding vows were exchanged by Sara James Landes and Bradley James Castrellon at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at Cold Springs Events in Paron. Dr. JoAnn Kirchner of Little Rock officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Patricia and the late Edmond Landes Jr. formerly of Peoria, Ill. The bride’s mother now lives in Maumelle. She is the granddaughter of the late Mable and Norman James and the late Dorothy and Edmond Landes, all of Peoria.
Cynthia and Craig Castrellon of Maumelle are the parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Verna and Jerry Carlton of Maumelle and Pat Gower of McRae.
Wreaths of foliage decorated the venue’s doors and vows were exchanged under a wooden arch decorated with wedding flowers and foliage. A reading was given by Meta Belford of Peoria, cousin of the bride.
The bride, escorted by her cousin Ryan James of Groveland, Ill., wore a fit-and-flare strapless ivory gown with a tulle overlay embellished with beaded lace appliques. She carried an asymmetrical loosely gathered bouquet of peonies, garden roses and ranunculus.
Mandi Trees of Bartonville, Ill., served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jenni Leonard of Milwaukee, Kristina Kahn of St. Louis and Nicole Boddington of Little Rock. They wore gowns in shades of blush and champagne and carried bouquets of eucalyptus, olive foliage and Italian ruscus.
Best man was Matt Kraft of Seattle. Groomsmen were Ryan Castrellon of Fayetteville and Austin Castrellon of Maumelle, brothers of the groom, and Michael Shewmake of Austin, Texas.
A reception, also at Cold Springs Events, was held after the ceremony. Tables were decorated with mercury glass candle holders and arrangements of eucalyptus, olive foliage and Italian ruscus. Assisting were Ashley Bouzis of Seattle; Jonelle Flood and Molly Colten, both of San Francisco; and Roberta Parks of Peoria.
The bride has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Saint Louis University, master’s degree in clinical psychology from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, and a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is a clinical psychologist for the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System and an assistant professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
The groom attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is a building automation programmer at Northwest Controls.
The couple will make their home in Maumelle and plan an early fall wedding trip to Banff, Alberta.
