With professional service and a personal touch, one local body shop has been serving customers for 28 years.

Classic Colors Auto Body in Searcy was opened by owner Allen Thomas in 1990. He started the business by performing paint jobs on older cars. As his reputation in the industry grew, he expanded the business to include auto repair.

“After a few years, I hired a body technician, which made it possible for us to start doing collision repair,” Thomas said. “Putting the customer first and focusing on quality work, we outgrew the building we were renting.”

As the business grew, Thomas needed more room, so in 1995, he purchased another property and built a larger facility, from which the business still operates.

“Our business has grown a lot since then, but we still focus on the customer and quality workmanship,” Thomas said.

The business’s reputation has been built by customers, who have voted the shop Best of the Best in a local publication six years in a row.

Whether a customer comes in with a simple door ding or a major collision, Classic Colors staff members assure that they will do everything in their power to make the process go smoothly. In addition to collision repair, Classic Colors offers paintless dent repair and detailing.

Thomas said treating the customer right is important at Classic Colors.

He said he measures satisfaction in his work by the many customers who tell him they will be back if they need his services again. Thomas said he has stayed true to that philosophy for 28 years.
