April 1, 2008 Attorneys for a man accused of raping and killing a teenager and dumping her body in the trash failed Monday to show that he is too delusional to stand trial. In rejecting the claims, Pulaski County Circuit Judge John Langston found Ramon Williamson, 42, competent to face a jury on a capital murder charge in the slaying of 18-yearold Madeline Jaffe, whose body was found in a trash bin behind a car lot on Lancaster Road in southwest Little Rock in August 2005. Langston capped a fivehour hearing Monday with about 70 minutes of deliberations in chambers before reaching his decision. Williamson’s attorneys had wanted the judge to order him committed to the State Hospital to be treated until he was well enough to stand trial.
