Graduate accepted into physics program
HEBER SPRINGS — Tanner Feeler, a former student at Arkansas State UniversityBeebe Heber Springs and current Learning Center interim coordinator, has been accepted into the University of Florida physics program for the 2018 fall term.
Feeler plans to study cosmology and quantum field theory and will be working with the Institute for High Energy Physics and Astrophysics and the Institute for Fundamental Theory.
“I am incredibly grateful to ASU-Beebe, particularly my home campus at Heber Springs, both for the instruction I received as a student and for the professional guidance I have acquired through employment here,” Feeler said.
Feeler is a graduate of Heber Springs High School and enrolled at ASU-Beebe Heber Springs in 2009. He worked as a student tutor for Student Support Services and completed 70 hours with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.84. After graduation from ASU-Beebe, Feeler transferred to the University of Central Arkansas to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
After earning a degree in physics and mathematics, Feeler began working for the Heber Springs campus as a mathematics tutor in the Learning Center and was promoted to interim coordinator last year.
