The following Harding University students and faculty members won awards at the Broadcast Education Associaton Festival of Media Arts:
Students Joe Stephens, Jack Allen, Alicia Harris, Dorothee Garcia, Grace Nickols, Hunter Hoagland and Makayla Twigg and former student Kaitlyn Levenson participated in the Live at 5 newscast that won the second-place award for Television Newscast.
Ginger Blackstone, assistant professor of communication, won second place in the News Division Open category.
Former student Mitchell Brooks was awarded first place for Instructional/Educational Video.
Student Leah Johnson won the second-place award for Educational Audio Program in the student competition.
Student Shannon Keirce won third place for Specialty Audio Program.
Student Madison Hayes was a finalist in the Audio Fea- ture Segment category.
University of Arkansas at Little Rock students Michael DiCicco of Benton and Karen Watts of Bryant were firstplace winners of the CrimsonHacks, Alabama hackathon.
University of Arkansas at Little Rock students Leon Kockaya of Bryant and Brenden Gammill of Little Rock won the Distinguished Delegation Award at the National Model Arab League Conference in Washington, D.C.
