Anthony Chapel at Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs was the setting at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, for the marriage of Lauren Elizabeth Bodenheime­r and Joseph Carruth Hill. Officiatin­g was the Rev. Matthew Wilson of College Park Baptist Church, Winston-Salem, N.C., cousin of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Lynda Dianne and the Rev. David Gorrell Bodenheime­r of Oxford, Miss. She is the granddaugh­ter of the late Eliza and Gorrell Bodenheime­r of Winston-Salem and the late Ruth and Byron Sneed of Belden, Miss.

Parents of the groom are Cynthia “Cid” Kizewski-Hill and the late Dr. Allen Carruth Hill of Little Rock. His grandparen­ts are Anna and the late Robert Kizewski of Milwaukee; and the late Irene and Orville Hill of Helena-West Helena.

The chapel was decorated with arrangemen­ts of pink peonies, pink and ivory roses, pink hydrangeas and Queen Anne’s lace. Music was by pianist Abigail Dreie and vocalist Abby Wilson.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of ivory duchesse silk embellishe­d with crystals and lace. She carried a pink and ivory bouquet of peonies, roses, ranunculus, lisianthia­s, bouvardia and jasmine.

Matron of honor was Kristie Bowen of Lakeland, Tenn., cousin of the bride. Bridesmaid­s were Jennifer Bruce, Amanda Horas and Lauren McCarty Horak, all of Little Rock; Juliana Griffin of Dallas and Laura Oliver Hill of Charleston, S.C. They wore sleeveless gowns of evening mist blue silk-satin and carried bouquets similar to the bride’s.

Flower girl was Piper Bowen of Lakeland, cousin of the bride.

Dr. Nathan Hill of Charleston served as his twin brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Martin Bodenheime­r of New York, brother of the bride; Alex Treece of Dallas; Robert Wardlaw of Little Rock; Dr. Scott Wardlaw of Boston; and Alex Wilson of Fayettevil­le.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the gardens’ Pavilion which was centered with a massive arrangemen­ts of wedding flowers. Guest tables held vases of hydrangeas, Queen Anne’s lace and roses and cocktail tables held light pink bud vases with smaller arrangemen­ts.

The bride joined Ballet Memphis as a trainee at age 17 and also studied with Ballet West in Salt Lake City. She is a company dancer with Ballet Arkansas.

The groom is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He is director of Enterprise Transforma­tion Group at Endurance Internatio­nal.

The couple will live in Little Rock and Boston after a wedding trip to Paris and Bordeaux, France.
