What is your occupation?

For the past several years, I’ve been a momma, a graphic designer and a photographer. This coming year, I will embark upon a new adventure as the media Specialist at Southside Charter High School.

Were you named after anyone?

I was named after my dad, James.

What was your favorite toy as a kid?

I had a special doll I carried around named “Baby.” She went everywhere with me; I still have her tucked away because I couldn’t convince my own kids to play with her.

Would you prefer to be smart, happy or rich?

Happiness is important to me; life could possibly be dull or depressing with the other choices.

Which is better entertainment — a novel or a movie?

Curling up with a good book is the best.

Do you collect anything?

I used to collect pigs, but now I don’t prefer clutter because that means more dusting.

What is your favorite sound?

There’s nothing better than hearing my kids genuinely laugh.

If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, what would it be?

I’ve often thought it would be fun to live in the Friends sitcom because they sure are supportive of each other. However, there’s always Harry Potter because, you know, magic.

If it were possible to colonize Mars in your lifetime, would you go?

I’m always up for adventure, but only if I could take my family with me.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

I’ve always wanted to learn to weld so I can create cool furniture.
