Lindsey to serve as library director at Ozarka College
MELBOURNE — Dan Lindsey of Calico Rock is the new library director at Ozarka College. Lindsey began working at Ozarka College in 1994 and served with Mary Ellen Hawkins in the Paul Weaver Library for approximately 24 years as the multimedia specialist. Lindsey has been serving as the interim library director since
Hawkins retired.
“Dan has been a vital member of the
Ozarka College family for many years,” said Dr.
Keith McClanahan, Ozarka College provost and executive vice president of learning. “He is student-centered and willing to help and support faculty from all campuses in their library needs and the needs of our students. I expect that Dan will bring new ideas and plans to help us create innovative library processes that will support our faculty, students and the community in the digital age.”
Lindsey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Lyon College in Batesville and a Master of Library Media/Information Technology degree from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. “I’ve always had a love for research and learning new things, and it’s a thrill for me to help students and others find the information they’re looking for, whether it’s an article for a paper or just a good book to read,” Lindsey said. “I am honored to be given this opportunity to serve the Ozarka College community.”
