Rockefeller Institute to host Much Ado About Nothing
PETIT JEAN MOUNTAIN — The Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre will perform Much
Ado About Nothing, a family-friendly show, at 7:30 p.m. June 23 on the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute’s front lawn. Additional activities will include an interactive workshop led by the play’s director, Enrico Spada, and a guided tour of the public art exhibit Art in Its Natural State on the institute’s grounds.
Activities will start at 5:30 p.m. with lawn games, face painting and balloon animals. Food trucks will be on hand with food and drinks for purchase. Attendees are welcome to spread out blankets or bring lawn chairs for the performance, though limited seating will be available. Outside food will be allowed, though no outside alcoholic beverages will be permitted.
“We’re delighted to have AST back on June 23,” said Payton Christenberry, program officer. “This summer is extra special because we are celebrating five years of having AST here on the mountain and our inaugural Art in its Natural State exhibition.”
Admission is free, but registration is requested by going to rockefellerinstitute.org/ institute-programs/much_ado and clicking on the registration button. Options include the workshop, the art tour or just the show. For more information, contact Payton Christenberry at (501) 727-6255 or pchristenberry@uawri.org.
