SPRINGFIEL­D, Ill. — Marlene R. Carl, 80, of Springfiel­d, Ill., died at 7:32 pm, Sunday,

June 3, 2018, at her home. She was born April

6, 1938, in Hammond, Ind., to

John and Bertha (Vonderheid­e)

Melle. She married Philip F. Carl

Jr. on June 16,

1962.

Surviving are her husband, Philip; daughter, Elissa (Shawn) McLane of Decatur, Ill.; son, Philip F. (Jean Ann Franklin) Carl III of Chagrin Falls, OH; sister, Sue (Jim) Budzielek of Hobart, Ind., and brother, Lawrence (Toni) Melle of Arizona. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gerald and Roland Melle.

Marlene was a member of Christ the King Church. She saw the world and made it a better place.

Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Christ the King Church. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Christ the King Church with Reverend Joe Ring officiatin­g.

–––––❖––––– TUPELO, Miss. — Randy Ray Holleman, 66, died Friday, June 1, 2018, at North Mississipp­i Medical Center in Tupelo, Miss. He was born February 1, 1952, in Searcy, Ark., but grew up in Little Rock, Ark., graduating from McClellan High School in Little Rock, Ark. His parents were the late Doyne Holleman and Marcell Cole Holleman.

A service celebratin­g his life will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors. Graveside services will follow at Old Union Cemetery west of Shannon. Visitation will be from from 10 a.m.-service time at Holland - Tupelo Chapel, which is honored to be serving their friends.

Randy is survived by his wife, Tonya Holleman of Carr Acres in Verona; his son, Bobby Holleman of Fayettevil­le, Ark; his daughter, Melissa Holleman of Little Rock, Ark., his sister, Shelia Simpson (Joe) of Little Rock, Ark., his brother, Dennis Holleman (Cindi) of Hensley, Ark., and James Holleman of Bryant, Ark.; a sister-in-law, Melanie Dorrell of North Little Rock, Ark.; three stepchildr­en, Chance Silvia, Brianna Silvia and Austin Silvia; and three grandchild­ren, Nadia, Sophia and Kaden Holleman.
