BILLIE J. LOUTHIAN (TURNER) departed this earth on June 5, 2018. She was born on September 12, 1927 in Ione, Ark. She was 90 years old.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hillard G Turner and Marie (Pyles) Turner, her husband, Paul E. Louthian, two sisters, Mary E. Thompson and Phyllis Hammond, two brothers, Granville Turner and Douglass Tuner, step-mother Mittie Belle Turner and niece Karen Turner Wilson.

After the passing of her mother, Marie Turner, Billie was raised by her bachelor uncle Evan Turner and his maiden sister, Viola (Sally) Turner, along with Mary and Granville, her sister and brother respectful­ly. Evan and Sally also preceded Billie in death. She is survived by her son, Paul Steven Louthian, grandson, James Kevin Louthian (Kim), great-granddaugh­ter, Emily Louthian, daughter-in-law, Bobbie Lynn Louthian, brother, Bobbie Joe Turner (Shirley), sister, Maxine Jones (Scott), and brother-in-law, Richard Hammond, several nieces and nephews and lifelong friend Joan Gross.

Billie request that no flowers be purchased for the service. She asked that her casket have one red rose displayed. She asked that anyone that wished to do so make a donation to the St. Jude’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. or the American Lung Associatio­n.

MARY HEADRICK MATTINGLY, 94, of Little Rock, passed away June 3, 2018. She was a longtime member of Christ the King Catholic Church and was a secretary for the Catholic Diocese Tribunal.

Preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Jessie Frost Headrick, and her husband, Johnson S. “Matt” Mattingly, she is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Mattingly (Douglas A. Carson) of Anchorage, Alaska; sons, Ted A. Mattingly (Carol Ann) of Texarkana, Texas and Don E. Mattingly (Virginia) of Plano, Texas; sister, Pat Adams of Dallas, Texas; special nieces, Nancy Cassat of Little Rock and Julie Adams of Dallas; two granddaugh­ters, six grandsons, four great-grandsons and three great-granddaugh­ters; and other family and friends.

A Vigil Service will be held on Thursday, June 7 at 6 p.m., preceded by visitation beginning at 5 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4000 N. Rodney Parham. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, June 8 at 10 a.m. with Msgr. Francis I. Malone as Celebrant.

CHESTER B. O’NEAL, 82, a lifelong resident of Little Rock, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018.

He was born June 30, 1935 to Charlie and Mary O’Neal. He served honorably in the United States Army Reserves from 1958-1964.

Chester loved to travel, especially to the Caribbean, Mexico, New York and the Gulf beaches. He had a passion for interior decorating and was always a well dressed man.

Chester is survived by his sister, Georgia Martin; numerous nieces, nephews, wonderful friends and his feline companion, Mollie. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clifford, Charles, James, and Bill; and sisters, Myrtie, Mary Lois and Jimmie Lou.

The family would like to give a special thanks to his caregivers, Roger Bradley, Peggy Rogers and Patricia Nathan; Elite Home Health Care; and the staff at Little Rock Baptist Hospital.

JEAN SMITH, 90, of North Little Rock passed away Monday, June 4, 2018. Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas C. Smith; two sisters, Ella Clark and Lillie Crafford. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in North Little Rock, the Martha Fellowship Sunday School class and Women on Mission. Jean loved her church family and had a heart for missions. She retired in 1988 from Little Rock Winnelson Company as a cashier and credit manager.

Jean is survived by her son, Tommy Smith (Carolyn) of Vilonia; two grandchild­ren, Cindy Hankins (John) and Logan Smith of Vilonia; four great-grandchild­ren, Kyle and Kenzie Smith, Colby and Carson Hankins; and several nieces.
