Adviser Kudlow said to be on mend

-

NEW YORK — Larry Kudlow, the prominent economic commentator who joined President Donald Trump’s administration this year as Trump’s top economic adviser, is recovering after suffering a “very mild” heart attack, the White House said Tuesday.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement that Kudlow is expected to remain at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as “a standard precaution” after suffering the heart attack on Monday.

Kudlow, the director of the National Economic Council, had joined Trump last week in Canada for the meeting of the Group of Seven world leaders. Minutes before Trump met with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un in Singapore, the president tweeted, “Our Great Larry Kudlow, who has been working so hard on trade and the economy, has just suffered a heart attack.”
