Ben Miller, Mike Dillon bands among live music

The Ben Miller Band will perform at 9 p.m. today at Stickyz Rock ’n’ Roll Chicken Shack in Little Rock. Admission is $12; there will also be a $2 surcharge for minors.

Based in Joplin, Mo., Miller’s band includes Scott Leeper, Rachel Ammons and Smilin’ Bob Lewis, who create what the band’s publicity materials describe as “the frenetic energy of bluegrass, the soul of the delta blues and the haunted spirit of Appalachia­n mountain music.”

Ammons and Lewis also perform as Arkansas-based duo Tyrannosau­rus Chicken.

Monkeysoop, Mourning View and Mortalus will perform at 9 p.m. Friday at Four Quarter Bar in North Little Rock. Admission is $7.

The Mike Dillon Band will perform at 10 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $7.

Dillon, a percussion­ist who lives in New Orleans, was a member of Denton, Texas, based band Ten Hands in the 1980s. He also led the Dallas-area band Billy Goat and while in Austin, Texas, led the group Hairy Apes BMX.

He has released 13 albums since his solo debut with Solaraller­gy in 2002. His latest release, Life Is Not a Football, came out in 2017. He has also played on recordings by Ten Hands, Brave Combo, Galactic, Les Claypool, Karl Denson, Ani DiFranco and Santogold.

Yuni Wa will host an album release show that will also feature Klubhouse and Joshua Asante at 9 p.m. Saturday at South on Main in Little Rock. Admission is $5.

Yuni Wa, an electronic artist and DJ, is releasing Dawn of the Black Wings, his 33rd “official project,” according to press materials.

Young Valley is a Jackson, Miss., band led by songwriter brothers Zach and Dylan Lovett, along with Spencer Thomas. The group released a self-titled second album in April.

Arkansauce, along with opening act Fort Defiance, will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $7.
